We are trying to decide between using an outside florist or disney and i have a few totally ridiculous questions...

If you have an outside florist, or if you bring your own in and have somebody line the aisle with rose petals, who cleans them up? Disney? You/the florist? I just dont know how it would work? I mean they blow up the confetti cannons, that must be a joy to clean up :sad2:..whos responsibility does that fall under?

If you were to bring an outside florist in and use candelabras, do they have to be electric or can they be real candles with an open flame? The only variation I have seen is that there is wax inside a casing (so it doesnt drip down) but its still an open flame. Does Disney allow that? My gut says no? :confused3

TIA y'all! :goodvibes

Contact your disney wedding planner before you invest any money in open flamed candles I read somewhere that there is a limit of open flames allowed on each table just an fyi, again disney's rules are ALWAYS changing depending on who you ask but just throwing it out there, nothing worse than spending money and not being able to use it.

something to keep in mind is if you go through an outside florist and have items for center pieces or aisle pedals etc etc etc, disney won't touch it. You'll have to find someone to decorate with your floral. it's a liability thing. I thought about getting silk flowers but when I found that out, i decided just to go through disney.

To me, it wasn't worth it to have a GUEST at my wedding have to work and the florist is AMAZING and will work with you if you explain what your budget is :) When my mom explained what she was able to spend per table on center pieces I thought we wouldn't have anything that would fit into that budget since we were going through disney... but after our planning session it ended up being LESS than what we budgeted for!!! yay for saving money! lol good luck with your decisions!! :)

I am also trying to decide about this. I really don't think I want a lot of floral for decoration, and just looking at personal floral. So I don't know if it would just be easier to let Disney do it, then I wouldn't have to worry, or save money and go outside.

We were told we could only have 3-4 open flames per table at ADH. May be different depending on the location (or planner) ;)

We had an outside florist and did a rose petal toss, it was outside so I'm not sure who cleaned it up. My florist set up the Wedding Pavilion and removed the floral arrangements from there. And they also come to strike everything at the end of the reception.

Disney will not allow open flames on candelabras, it doesn't matter if it's enclosed in a casing or hurricane votive. Disney florist uses battery operated tapers on their arrangements. We ended up not doing candles at all on the centerpiece and just doing a fuller arrangement and I didn't miss the candles.

On the table you can have up to four regular votives. Of course, it's best to check with Disney as you get closer to your date, they are very strict about the fire code rules.

Hope that helps!

Definitely check with your planner on the open flames. Because Reedy Creek Fire Department is cracking down on open flames, I believe my planner told me 3 open flames on the table, I know it wasn't more than 5.
