Stupid Question: What's a trundle bed?

It is basically a mattress that can slide out from under another bed.

Yes, it's a collapsible bed frame with a normal mattress on it- it is stored under another bed. It slides out from under the bed, and the frame expands to be a normal height bed. Then it stores away for the day.

We have stayed at POR three times and I could be wrong but the trundle bed doesn't expand to be a normal height bed.

Like I said I could be missing something but it's one of things my kids didn't really like at POR was that one of them had to sleep basically on the floor (trundle bed) right next to the air conditioner.

It would be really cool if it did expand to be normal height !

You're right, jonemick. They don't expand. My kids don't like them either as they don't like the idea of being so close to the floor. Plus they are narrow and not very long and not the most comfortable bed. But mine are teenagers and too big for them anyways.

I know what you mean. If I hadn't already seen and used them, I would think the same thing as we had one also when I was a child. It lifted up and was the size of a twin bed. If they were like that, they would be much better. However, I don't think they would fit in the space they have right next to the beds as there is not much room between the bed and the door.

Last summer, I asked the CM at check in if we could stay in the mansion section even even though we had 5 and they only sleep 4. We've always stayed in AB and I really wanted to stay in the mansions this time. I asked the CM if they had rollaways and she said yes. She put us in Oak Manor. It was a little tight, but that was okay with us as we were only in the room to sleep for the most part. We had to move the table and chairs and put the bed there.
