Stupid question regarding the fp

I've been booking fast passes this week and I think the answer depends on what you want fast passes for and if you have certain times in mind.
I have a big group of 10 and in some parks I am being a bit picky about wanting fastpasses for certain attractions at certain times.
I didn't get exactly what I was aiming for at animal kingdom Jan 5 (early am Kilimanjaro safari & Everest right after the 11am Nemo show lets out), so I booked as close as I could get to that and will keep checking back. But I'm happy with what I got for Epcot on Jan 4.
Tomorrow I am booking for Jan 7 magic kingdom and just looked at what is available tonight for Jan 6, to get an idea if certain attractions will be harder to get when I want them, but at 10pm there is still lots of availability (except for 7DMT, which is not unexpected), so I won't rush tomorrow am.

6:30 :D

That's what I did, and I'm on the west coast. Though I think I woke up a half an hour earlier than that on my own.

Good luck!

I booked my animal kingdom fast passes at 7am EST yesterday (for Jan 5). I wasn't able to get Safari for early am, but there was availability later in the morning. Dinosaur had lots of availability. I didn't even try to get FoP - we're going to try to ride it standby at the very end of the day.
Good luck!

I say 6:45-6:50. You want to be up, logged in, and ready to start at 7:00 on the dot.Especially since you want FOP. Last trip, I could not get the times I wanted for some things 30 seconds after my window opened.

That is part of my anxiety is it worth getting up for fast passes I mean people who are staying on property for 14 had the advantage I think if I am doing the math right my window has been open sens nov 24

Most people don't stay that long.

By the way....you should be asleep by now :)

I set mine for 6:50am eastern.
My computer only takes 2 minutes to be ready and that's plenty of time to go to the bathroom and come back and long in.

BTW Tink no reason to think its not worth waking up for.
You only have the one day so make it worth it by booking the FP+ right when it opens.
Also since you only have one day it won't take you too long and then you can lay back down after you're done.

It's always worth trying to get FP+! You shouldn't have a problem with Safari or Dinosaur. Take any FoP you can get! Good luck!

Good luck this morning!!! I usually set my alarm 30 mins before. It gives me time to make coffee, visit the bathroom, double check my wish list and schedule, and then get online.

Made the fp for my day trip had to explain to my mom why fop was not available and told her some of the strategies I learned on here

I know some look excessively on MDE for fop to open up it just seems risky to me to lose previous fp to look

So 60 plus 10 get the best deal

I feel bad for the ones staying of site

Be a good Marine in your heart. That mean you have to be 15 minutes early to every appointment or your late. This gives you time to get a cup of coffee, sit down and make sure everything on your pc is operational (when I get to April 4th for mine I will check on the 3rd as well as have a backup laptop next to my desktop). And good luck on your fastpasses.

Two minutes?

You need to get an SSD!
(I put one in my old laptop, and now it boots up from cold in 20 seconds.) :genie:

Mine is a lot faster than most people I know lol.
My laptop is ready in literally 5 seconds but it doesn't have nearly as much to "go through" to boot up.
I don't like laptops though so I never even use it.
In fact I'm selling it to much more easily afford a tablet for my mom for Christmas this year because she uses her phone like a computer and wonders why its slow and why her eyes are tired. She needs a bigger screen and more capacity.

There is no risk in looking for a FOP FP+ we have been lucky enough to find them as little as a week prior. Just book a FP+ for something you aren't going to ride - anything! Then just modify that FP+ and it will show you what is available - FOP shows up first on the page so that helps. If it shows up grab it quick and it will switch out the FP+ for the ride you didn't want for your FOP.

Unless you got a Navi River FP+ in which case you will have to modify that one when looking for FOP because of the tiers.

When we got them I would just check a couple times a day - when watching TV or other downtime.

So you could not get FOP FP 70 days before your trip?

You can still look without giving away an FP just go to your FP and pick one of your FP on your AK day do modify and see if one shows up if yes good change it if no then you do not have to change it. I have canceled FP the day before ( with I canceled FEA less than 10 days after it opened) I also canceled 7DMT a few months after it opened, SO I would keep trying

Did the same in both laptop (which went from taking 5 minutes to 15 seconds and my desktop. Can NEVER go back after having one of them.

I looked at my fp now that I am wide awake and relatively happy just don’t like that dinosaur is so early that means I can’t rope drop fop and the river ride is kinda late in the day
