Why do painters wear white? :confused3 :teeth:

So you can see when you've gotten paint on yourself, so you can fix what you messed up, and not spread it around to another area/color.

that makes sense! i've always thought it was a bit odd to wear something thhat was going to show all the drips!!

Here's mine-
Why is it called a sleeover when 2 or more 10 year old boys spend the night at one house when they have no intention of sleeping?

Same reason as chefs, so they can bleach the stains out.

Paint doesn't bleach... :rotfl2:

But I do buy gallaj0's reason. :teeth:

I can't think of any stupid questions, which is funny because I usually ask several a day. :rotfl:

I also make several stupid comments a day, like yesterday when I was sitting at my son's baseball game and commented to my DH that the moon, which was out in the middle of the day along with some nice, fluffy cloud, looked like a nice, moon-shaped cloud. My DH told me that for every comment like that I had he knew that I had 10 more that I didn't say out loud. I assured him that I didn't--that I said all of my stupid thoughts out loud! :lmao: Hmmm, that didn't come out quite like I meant it!

I thought chefs just wanted you to think that they are really doing the cooking and not just nuking it!!

I have the bad habit of asking lots of stupid questions too! at least if I do it here I don't have to see the funny looks peopel give me!!!

Here's my stupid question:

Can you smell the inside of your nose?

If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is there to hear it, does anyone really care?

Why do banks charge a fee on INF when they know there isn't any money to pay it?

Well, duh, because they carefully choose their colors. Everyone knows that when you paint, you will get some on yourself. A painter's canvas is white before they put colors on it, and a wall is primed white before you put colors on it. So painter's clothing must be white before you put paint on it, also! :artist:

My question:

What does "Suffer the fist of Wune" mean? I've tried to find the answer to this question for years. :confused3

Is it anything like "a stitch in time saves wune?"

I asked a friend of mine that was a painter why he wore white. He said it was so when he ran out of paint he didn't have to take the empty can with him to get more :lmao: He was joking of course ;)

ok from the paint pro section,, painters pants and shirts are white by tradion now, in the old days, most paint was white, white paint,, white clothes made for a better clean appearance, you didnt see the splatters and drips as badly as you would on colored clothing.

OR

If a man says something in the woods and there isn't a woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?
