If you wanted to book x amount of days and it was 4 or 4 more points than you had available do you have to drop a day and waste points or can you pay cash or something else for those few points?

You can't combine points and cash for the same day when dealing with DVC MS. Olaf is suggesting making arrangements with another member where you pay them for the additional points.
