stupid parents..kid left alone

ok i dont know if its here or wdw but some stupid ppl went on pirets of the caribian ride and left there baby in stroller in 98 degress..just heard abit about it more to come (im a news freck lately)

Update. It was in wdw both the mom and dad thought the other had the child.
she was left in stroller 45-1hour. she was red and sweating when parmedics found her, she was lifeless they say she was almsot dead. she came back around and is fine now

but still how.

If this happened as described, then the "parents" aren't "stupid, they're criminals.

Having a child isn't a "right".....it's a privlidge & a responsibility.

Edited - I responded above prior to the update.....will let others decide if these parents were criminals or just stupid.

Thank God the child is fine now & that responsible people (evidently) took care of her in time.

I agree. My son is my life and I couldt see going to stand in line and him not with me, inless hes with some one else couse he isnt going on it.
It just makes me sick

OK ok, IF it is TRUE that each thought the other had the child then are they criminals or just frazzled parents? NOW if they both ended up on the same ride together then DUH each can see the other does not have the kid. Plus Pirates is a ride you CAN take a small child on so double no excuse.

see well this is where i got confused. the parents said they were with other groups of ppl, but they also said they were all on the ride..idont know ecxatly what happined..maybe they were fizzeled. It will jsut remind me to dubbel trippel check that an adult has my child if hes not with me..Tho this was a bay and was verry lucky that cast found her..

I wont say they are chrimnals right now. but I though posting this was good at least every one with kids can be reminded to watch kids. and dubbel check whos watching children when you split up

ITA - it would not be the first time someone has done that at Disney. Hopefully they've learned their lesson.

Regardless it still seems they were irresponsible. You always need to be SURE where your kid is. Whatever that takes. To me there are no excuses on that one.

I know the one that was left in hotel room when her brother and sisters were there the parents were eatting and checking every thirty mins but the girl was never found..i thinkt hey found her body..they also think they know who did it and i think he is in jail for it.

If you mean Maddy McCann who was taken from an apartment in Portugal while her parents were eating in a restaurant she has not been found. There were reports in a Dutch newspaper about a letter saying where her body was but it wasn't true - she is still missing and her parents and their twins are still out there looking.

ok well amybe i heard the fake report. its so sad. I hate how ppl can treat kids, and pregnet wemon..its like cant ppl fill safe.

I am glade this child was not killed but they said she almost didnt start breathing. so it is Thank God the cast members found her.

At least now maybe with this report going out, others diering this summer will rember to watch there kids.

I so don’t understand.

Two things …..

WHAT IN THE WORLD are these parents thinking (even if they think one is with the child, they have the parent swap for a reason!)

WHAT is wrong with the other guests? You mean to tell me NO ONE else saw this child with out an adult and reported it? I guess the only thing would be the child sleeping under a blanket (in the heat) so others didn’t see her.

I find myself watching (from where ever I am at, not the stocking kind) when others peoples kids are not with an adult. I see kids all the time walk away from mom or dad and I just keep and extra eye on them until I see the parent notices the kid is back in sight of the parent. I can’t even think of my child being out of my sight.
We where walking in the Disney store one day and a little child walked out w/o an adult so I watched for a second and then had to ask her if mommy was in the store. Her parents didn’t seem to be upset whatsoever that they allowed her to walk away. I felt sick after that.

I understand that it may of been a mistake by the parents but it was almost a fatal mistake. Your first priorty it to your children. I understand that the parents thought the other had the baby. If it was me I would of doubled checked to make sure. It doesn't hurt to be to cautious when it comes to your children especially when it's hot like that.

my fionce just got home and is so steamed about this.. now seeing that the dad went to move the stroler and the kid was still there and he didnt see it..jesse *SLAP* my fionce is saying there should be a licince to breed..lol

You know it is also a culture thing. In Finland it is very common to leave babies outside when you grocery shop. Everyone leaves them in the buggies. It is very accepted there and they say that it develops their lungs with the cold air. (yes it is done both summer and winter)

Now saying that, I would not leave my own child outside by himself. Especially in the heat. I feel bad enough having to take my baby outside when it is 110 - 115 outside, and that is from the van to the store.

I know that i would never do it. and am talking to every one i know today about this. becouse i fill like if the word gets out enough then maybe it will help.

Do you really need to call her stupid? She lost her baby, I'm sure that she feels badly enough, you know? What parent hasn't made mistakes? Yeah, this kind of mistake has worse results than most, but what good does it do to call people stupid or say that people need a license to breed? If you've got a tired, frazzled parent who's running around, I could see how it could happen. It's sad and tragic, and it really sucks that it happened, and it shouldn't have happened, but nothing is going to make it un-happen, and I don't really see the point in bashing someone who made a mistake and paid the ultimate price for it. She's got enough pain to live with for the rest of her life. Feel sorry for the child, and feel sad that it happened, by all means. But please think about the weight of your words before you say them. And thank your lucky stars that you've never been the one to make such a mistake. And before anyone says that they would never make a mistake like that - I'm sure that every parent who's ever done it would have said the exact same thing.

hay i fill bad for her, she didnt jus lose her kid she also is in jail.
And back to the subject about the child left in the stroller. it was stupid and there are alot of stupid ppl out there. stupid is not the worse word i could use for any of these things. I am being truthfull when i say it was stupid.

Sorry if offenede any one. But watch your kids you gave them life, at least have the since to not leave them behind
