I can't understand Medicare. My ds11 has been on the same medication for 8 years now. The dose was increased about 2 years ago, never ever had a problem getting it filled or paid for until this month.
As a side note I did notice that I last filled it in June and the bottle said it contained 100 pills. His script is written that he take 2 pills at bed. So it always has 60 pills. I thought the 100 pills was Strange, but I wasn't overly concerned
Until I got to the pharmacy to pick it up. They now tell me that Medicare will only pay for 100 at a time so I need to get my doctor to write a new script.
WHAT!!!!!!! So I ask the pharmcy if they will contact the doctor to advise him. The pharmcist (not the tech, but actual pharmcist) says to me "I don't know what to tell the doctor" but then informs me I should call the dr to explain. Explain what I ask???
So, Medicare has decided they will only pay for 100 pills at a time, I guess. No one seems sure, uggggggghhh
Thanks

I also have Medicare, but none of my prescriptions are covered. I can tell you that when I called re: a question with my medicare services, the office was very professional and helped me immediately with my problem. My card has a number to call on the back. I would recommend trying that to find out what is going on. Good luck.
