Stunned / Thrilled about VGC Waitlist Clearing

We plan on doing the DIS ABD on Presidents week, but we did not pull the trigger on that ressie until September (well after the 7 month window). Wanted some nights at VGC before we leave for the ABD - basically Presidents Weekend. No rooms were avail for any category. I put in a waitlist for both studios and 1BR, but fully expected to pay cash or use points at Disneyland Hotel.

What a surprise when I learned today that the waitlist cleared. Second time clearing a waitlist at the VGC! I love my (resale) DVC.

Good deal! We arrive on President's Day monday, I could not get any earlier. I did not waitlist for any days, got in at 7 months (exactly).

We got the night of January 31 through the waitlist recently. With it being so close to our trip I had assume it wasn't going to happen. We were thrilled to know we won't have to switch hotels for one night. Enjoy!

I was lucky enough to get one of the two days that I had waitlisted. I wasn't prepared to leave it up to DVC to match up the whole vacation. I'll keep checking for the second night. I've got 6 months to figure it out.

This is a kind of last minute trip I am planning for us and we will hopefully be there the same time, however I only could get Sun and Tues nites booked. I have Mon and Wed nite waitlisted for a Studio....so hoping I can get them

Your posts give me hope How many times did you keep checking, as you said "many,many,many"??
