if there are point differences, they are listed on the point charts...usually due to different views. in the case of the value studios at AKV, it's because the value studios are smaller in size.
Yes, all DVC resorts have studios. I think the word "deluxe" is probably just referring to DVC in general as being a "deluxe" level resort.
A few of the resorts offer different views for all of their booking categories - like Bay Lake Tower for example offers std, lake view and theme park view so the points required can vary within that resort. (And like Chalee pointed out AKV has a few "value" studios which are smaller in size thereby requiring fewer points.)
I think it's confusing when booking a cash reservation for a villa studio. The WDW website will refer to it as a "deluxe" studio, but it's not different from a studio you would book using DVC points.
I would say no. I am not 100% sure but I believe the studios all have 1 bed and 1 pull out to make up the sleeps 4. In my experience we were 2 adults and 1 toddler and I felt I wouldn't want a studio as the hold gets bigger.
The only studio that would come close to holding four adults would be OKW with two queen beds. We did it with three adults and one kiddo for about four night many years ago and it was okay. This time (we have a short trip followed by a beach trip) we have the two of us in an OKW studio. We each get our own bed. And our son and his friend will be at All Stars Music in their own room.
I've stayed in a BWV studio with 4 adults (all in our late 20s), and I think it's fine. It was only for 4 nights, and we spent most of the time out in the parks. We're close friends and have lived together before, so it wasn't a problem. We'll be doing it again in October.
If the trip was longer with more time spent in the room, I would go for a larger room.

I completely agree with this, the size of the room is not as big an issue as the comfort of the pull out sofa bed. Do yourself a favor and if you plan on a studio go with OKW and it's 2 queen beds.
