Hi there,

I am certain this has been talked about before but -- Does WDW still offer the service when you are staying on site and you buy stuff in the theme parks they will deliver the stuff to your room for you so you don't need to worry about lugging stuff around? :confused3

Do you guys use it and have you ever had any issues?

As always thanks for you input :goodvibes

As I understand it, they'll deliver to the gift shop of the resort, not to your room.

That said, it's still 22 days till I know for sure :)

Last August we used this service in DTD. We bought some large items at the Christmas Store, which of course, was our first stop, so we didn't want to carry them around for the rest of the day... It was delivered to our room(POP), no problems. The only thing I can't remember ws how long it took to be delivered (sorry!)

I believe that it still exists, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hope that the little information I had was of some help!

If you are staying Club Level at your resort, your items will be delivered to your room.:goodvibes

If you are staying at any Disney resort, they will deliver your package to the gift shop of that resort. The shop will call you and leave a message on your room phone when it arrives. If you are staying Club/Concierge level, they will put the package in your room for you.

Two weeks ago while at Epcot during the afternoon we were in gift shop that's in the exit area of Test Track and requested our purchases be delivered back to BWV. The CM told us they wouldn't arrive there until 2 days later  . When we expressed surprise on length of time the CM once again reiterated that is how long it would take (we decided then to just carry what we bought). We've used this service before on previous trips and at most it only took one day so guess it takes longer now :confused3 ? ( or maybe just wrong info from CM ? )

We didn't end up using resort delivery at any of the other parks this trip but at MK we had purchases sent to City Hall and just picked them up there when we left the park that night.

They deliver to your resort's gift shop. The time of day you make your purchase determines how long it will take to be delivered. If it's mid-to-late afternoon/evening and they've already sent the packages out for the day, then it will probably be the 2nd day when it arrives at your resort. Buy earlier in the day and you should be able to pick up at your resort the following afternoon.

You can also have packages sent to the front of the park for pick-up on your way out.

We always have everything delivered to the resort as we don't like lugging it around all day and we've never had any problems. As many others have said, it is delivered to your resort's gift shop and you pick it up there (unless you stay CL, then it's delivered to your room) :goodvibes. Usually it's within 24 hours, but as a pp mentioned, it depends on the time of day you do it.....if it's later in the day/evening, you're looking at probably the 2nd day before it's ready for pick-up at the gift shop ;). And I don't think you can have resort delivery if you're checking out the following day as it may take up to 24 hours or more, which could mean you will have to leave before the package gets to the resort.....but maybe someone will come along and verify that or correct me if I'm wrong :confused3. But I know I have been asked when we are checking out before they get it ready for resort delivery :).

That is correct.

I loved the convenience of having them send the packages to our resort gift shop. As one previous poster said, it may be the following day if it is late and deliveries have already gone out. We never had an issue, and if we were on the last day of our trip we just carried it with us.

As of April they were still doing this. One of the best perks of staying on-site. I can shop and not worry!

Another option is to ship things home. You can do that from any shop at WDW. The cost is very reasonable and since tax is not charged, you can come out close to covering the shipping cost.

And I love getting a package or two from WDW about a week after we get home!:thumbsup2

Has anybody delivered to Canada? Do they even deliver to Canada? It's probably easier in that case to just take home myself for duty reasons...

Thanks everybody for their responses :) :thumbsup2

They do ship items to Canada, however when we got some more information on it the cost for the duty was to expensive. So it's easier for us to bring back the stuff we purchase ourselves.
