studying Disney

Hi everyone!

I'm a final year undergraduate student from England, and also a HUGE Disney fan!
I am studying business and management, and trying to do a study on Walt at the moment.
Does anyone know if the Disney company can help students doing research projects?

Im not sure if Disney helps students. I did a small research paper a few months ago on Disney and I used information from books "How to Be Liek Walt" and others and also online refrences. Disney has an information site http://disney.go.com/insider/today/index.html If you go to family museum it will give you info on Disney. For some reason though it isnt working for me... it may be down or it may just not work right on my mac Hope that helps!

I did a research paper last year on the walt Disney company. They were not eager to help me do any research. I called all over the place trying to talk to employees with archives, etc.

I found the most information through articles and through their website www.disneycareers.com.

Good Luck! I ended finding enough information for a 29 page paper!

My project is focusing on the importance of visionary leadership in a company - and how their legacy can survive even after they leave/die.

One of my topics is:

How are Disney employees taught about the history of the company and about Walt himself?

Does anyone have any info?

Before any cast member begins a job, he/she goes through a one day session of "Traditions." This is where cast members learn about the history of Disney and how it all began. It's pretty interesting.

Oh wow, I did a topic similar to this for my public speaking class.

I got most of my information from (it wont let me post the URL)

corporate(dot)disney(dot)go(dot)com (replace the "(dot)" with ".")

I also suggest maybe getting in contact with some people who are current cast members or in the college program. I used some people as references and it was very helpful!
