Is it possible to reserve studios at VWL, BCV or BWV with two beds rather than a sofa and foldout? If so, how hard are they to get (in slower travel periods).

I've never heard of a studio w/ 2 beds.

The sofa bed in the remodeled is extremely comfortable. We had one at BWV in Feb & it was great.

I believe that the only studios with 2 beds are OKW.

I'll second this...when we stayed at SSR, I found the new soda bed more comfortable than the actual bed. Unfortunately, every other villa studio we;ve stayed in since has had the older sofa bed (VWL, HHI)

As others have said, all OKW studios have 2 queen beds. All other resorts have a queen bed and full sleeper sofa.

Not true. VBR studios in the Inn have 2 queen beds as well as the studios at OKW.

OP here...so the units with 2 queen beds at BCV and VWL are dedicated to 2BR units, is that correct? I thought perhaps they were lockoffs, but apparently not. Are there any 2BR villas at BWV with 2Q in the 2nd BR? Do BCV, VWL & BWV have the new style sofas?

All 2-Br at BWV are lock offs (a 1BR and a studio) so you always have a pull out and a queen bed. BWV has the new sleeper sofa and it is very comfortable!

I really wish they offered this more - or even a studio with bunk beds. I realize this is not for some - but there are a few families out there who do stay in studios - and would like the option of giving thier children a decent bed to sleep on instead of those horrid sleeper sofas. Now maybe if they replaced all of the old bar type sleeper sofas I would feel differently.

DVC - ya listening?

There are no 'studios' at the Inn just 'Inn rooms'. Although the Inn rooms do have two queen beds.

Most of the older type sleeper sofas with the bars underneath have already been replaced. I think only VWL still has the oldest type.

Those are not actually studios, they are Inn Rooms. The studios are in the freestanding cottage buildings.

While I certainly understand wanting options, I think when you get too many different bookable categories, it decreases overall availabiliy for everyone.

VWL still had the old ones w/ the bar in you back last month.

We loved our BWV sleeper sofa so much that when we switched to VWL it was quite a shock. The kids & lightweight people don't seem to mind the old ones. Those of us who are "big boned" do not enjoy them. Our solution was to take turns & everyone was happier.

and that is our home resort - where we stay the most. it would be really nice if they would change then and right quick.

That's where my family will be next May, and it looks like I'll be the one on the foldout. Maybe I just won't unfold it.

I did that a few years ago at BWV, I found the couch more comfortable as is rather than opened up. This was before they installed the new ones.

The newer sleeper sofas are more comfortable for sleeping, but not comfortable for sitting when they are closed up. Very hard.

Looking forward to our first stay at VWL.
Is the sofa bed made up with linens? or do you call Housekeeping for them?
I will be the one sleeping on it and perhaps should take your suggestion and just sleep on the couch.

They are ALMOST ALWAYS made up with linens are ready to go. But you might want to pull it out when you arrive - if the linens aren't there (or if they are dirty, which occasionally happens) getting linens when you were about to crawl into bed is annoying - better to have housekeeping drop them off mid-afternoon.
