Studio-to 2br

Has anyone ever booked a reservation for multiple-sized rooms? I may be meeting friends at WDW in August. While we are together, we'll need a 2br, but there may be parts of the trip where they or I may be there alone, and only needing a studio. I already have the 2br reserved for the duration, but as our needs become more apparent, will they allow us to downgrade it to a 1br or studio depending on our needs, without moving rooms?

It is possible. But you can not simply "drop" from a 2 bed to a studio or 1 bedroom resevation wise. If you cancel a two bedroom lock-off night, and people are waitlisted for a one bedroom or studio, they should get first dibs.

Now, assuming you can get the reservation nights as you want, you can request not to move, but it is not guaranteed.

If you go from a two bedroom to a studio or one bedroom, you have a new reservation and will be required to check out and check in. They may allow you to stay in the same room, but they might not.
