Studio Sept 25 - Oct 1 at BWV or OKW

We are new DVC members so this will be our first trip home. We are wanting to come the last full week of Sept to take advantage of Halloween for our 3yr old and I just realized F & W starts Sept 30. What are the odds we will be able to get a studio at the 7 month window?

Hard to say for sure, but I think you have a chance as long as you are OK with a Pool/Garden view room. (Standard view rooms and guaranteed Boardwalk view rooms probably already have waitlists for at least some of the days you want).

For the best chance, my advice is to book day by day as soon as your 7 month window opens. Start calling MS a minute or two before they open at 9 am Eastern. Get on the waitlist for any day that is not availble when you first call. (Waitlisting by individual day is more risky than waitlisting for the entire time, but your chances of getting everything you want are much freater if you waitlist by individual day). If you use this strategy, I would be very surprised if you didn't get what you want.

To give yourself some peace of mind (if you haven't already), book your home resort now as a back up. If you have enough points, you can keep that reservation until after you get all the days you want at the BWV. Be mindful of banking deadlines if you need to bank any points.

I think that week will be fine for what you want. That's usually the week we go and I've had good luck getting pretty much anything I want at the 7 month window (except for standard view at BWV). September has been the easiest month to book what we want. If any days are missing (like October 1st or 2nd) just wait list it. I think Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween party starts around the 30th of September (the first night is usually a Friday night). So make sure you book out far enough to get to go to it.
