I know I woudl liek to try to possibly avoid the trash view ;), but are there any suggestions for requesting a studio at VWL? I'm not familiar with the Villas setup and views, have only been to WL once back 10 years ago. Thanks for any suggestions!

We arrived home from a great trip to VWL on 5-25 (Sunday). We had studio 1514. It was on the first floor to the left as you enter the villas lobby. I liked it because it was quiet, "dedicated" (no connecting door, two nice sized closets). The laundry room was down about two doors. We had a patio and the gardeners came and trimmed the ferns and stuff while we were there. It faced the walkway which connects the villas to the lodge. It may not be for everyone, but we really enjoyed our stay.
I've heard that the lodge is great around Christmas time.

Enjoy your stay.

For Thanksgiving 2001 we were on the 5th floor facing Bay Lake. It was a studio, quiet and very peaceful in the mornings. I don't remember the room number. All I requested was non smoking, top floor facing the lake.

We will only be there for 2 nights. I'm taking my Mom so I want to impress her a little so that she doesn't think our new DVc purchase was a mistake. ;)
I think, though since we'll have my kids with us that a studio with a good location might be better to us than more say a peaceful view. I'm not too sure about the layout here. Is that connecting walkway access to the buses and the main lodge lobby? I want to be close to the action. Balcony probably better since I can't trust my little one not to wander off from a patio. Is there elevators throughout or just in one spot? Thanks so much!

If you request a studio with a pool view then it will also be close to the elevators. The elevators are just in one spot so if you feel you need to be close to them, I would request that. Otherwise you could be put way down the long hall which is a hike to the elevators.

Thanks. Anyoen have a link to a good layot of the villas in relation to the lodge so I can get an idea?

Thanks jaysue. :)
So the long green part to the left of the top of the villas is the walkway to the buses and the lodge lobby? Is the villa pool to the top right of the red roof part? So it would seem if i want to be close to the buses, elevators and pool, both villa and WL themed pool I would need to request near the top or say just near the elevators since there is only one elevator to serve the villas?
Thanks!

EDIT- Oh, and is the small red roof building at the bottom left corner the infamous trash depot?

Yes, that is bang on

Yes - you can see the walkway a bit - the actual pool is hidden by the wonderful trees

Not sure on the elevators but stay near the start/top would get you close to the bus stop and the passage to the WL lobby which is awesome (if you have not seen it already)

Thanks!

Not sure.....did not walk that far :earseek: from WL to find out - LOL

Cheers Shan
Take Care!!!
