Studio Parade

I never saw Block Party Bash, but this one looks fine to me.

Do yourself a favor and youtube it. Best parade at WDW in a long time. It's really disapointing that people didn't seem to like BPB. I don't know how they couldn't like fun interactive showstops, with great choreography, talented acrobats, the Live Green Army Men, and just an overall innovative parade. I guess there are some people who just prefer floats slowly moving by with characters just waving, boring choreography, no acrobats, nothing innovative, re used floats, no live Green Army Men, and no interactiveness. Well to those people, here you go! Hope you enjoy your new parade.

PS *sarah* only the first sentence was directed at you, none of the rest of it :)

Saw it today and hated it. The BPP wasn't perfect but the green army men were great. Don't waste your time.

If you happened to be where they stopped, it was ok I guess. I don't know, we just didn't like it, and we watched it at a couple "stop" spots and several times where it just passed by, and were not impressed. Skipped it after trying to like it several times. As to the new one, we spend the least time at DHS of any of the parks, so it will be easy to skip it.

Watch the Disney California Adventure Pixar Play Parade on youtube. Then you will see what a sorry excuse this is.

In reference to the characters, I count a net gain of 5 added Jessie, Bullseye, Dug, Carl, Russell, and Remy, lost Potato Head.

Bo Peep has been gone over 6 months now.

And Im not counting the Green Army Men since they were equity.

No problem, and we actually also lost a character from Montsers Inc. I don't remember his name but he kind of looked like a slug. He's missing from the new parade.

Oh.my.

That was painful to watch. :lmao:

BPB was our favorite daytime parade. *a moment of silence please*

That would be Smitty. Im not sure what he qualifies as, but the DCA equivalent is Roz. I originally said the Bugs unit not having its own music was my first red flag, but the fact that Roz didnt intro the parade should have been the first.

Exactly, actually the girls carrying the banner was my first red flag, considering they were wearing BPB outfits...I thought they would atleast get new costumes...but I guess not..

I had mixed feelings on the block party but that looks pretty boring. :(

Jeepers Creepers!
I was sooo looking forward to a new parade.

I will be there in 10 days.

Disney if you are listening, please fix this!
:surfweb:

I did think those cool army men were neat

:3dglasses

If you were disappointed in this parade as I was I encourage you to send a letter to Disney about it. I went into Guest Services after the parade to leave a comment about it and they said the recieved quite a few of them about the "new" parade.

I was really hoping everyone was overreacting to these changes!

Our first family trip was in 2008 so I never got to see the stars/cars parade and everyone went over the edge about it's loss. Personally, I LOVED BPB so I was hoping this would be a similar theme but with a few added characters.

How disappointing!!! The best part of BPB was that is got the crowd involved instead of just being bystanders like most parades. This is one I will walk up and watch but not bother waiting for!

I just watched the video and this is way below par for Disney.

Any idiot could do this parade; it takes no skills whatsoever. It's probably what Disney wanted to accomplish. I'm sure the last parade had some paid performers who did the gymnastics; their rate is like triple what a CM gets. In this parade all they need is a regular CM.

The floats were boring and repetitive looking float to float. Disney will say it's the theming to make them look alike.

I can't see waiting as long as you need to for this parade; it only lasts 7 minutes. I rather take another spin on the Toy Story Mania ride while everyone is watching the parade.

It's another way for Disney to add to their profit line. By subtracting any skill levels needed for the parade they save money. Obviously, they didn't have to pay much for the floats, either.

This one is not for me.

Definitely a huge disappointment for me. I didn't really like BPB but absolutely love DCA's Pixar Play Parade. Was hoping this was going to be more like the one in DCA but the previous poster that said the similarilities stop with the music was absolutely right.

I am sure we will stop to see it next trip just because I am a parade junkie and it will be cool to see the Up characters but I was expecting so much more.
