Studio occupancy limits

I can not ever imagine a murphy bed at BLT...those rooms are so tight. Put the couch out on the balcony while your at it since it touches the window. Those rooms are beyond small in the configuration.

If they figured out how to add a bed there then I think they'd have to go back and revisit the 1BR's everywhere else that they apparently didn't think it could be done.

In the OKW studio, there isn't a vacant wall long enough for a Murphy bed. They are all short or have an angle. The only long wall has the two queen beds.

We were in a studio at OKW last month and was thinking the same thing. How in the world could they do a murphy bed there with the way the room is broken up. Maybe take out one of the queen beds and put in a sleep sofa??? and sleep chair?? dunno. They would do better with a trundle bed in that studio.

I'm actually surprised they retrofitted BCV and BWV, to be honest. I would assume that all studios moving forward will be built for 5, but there's just not a lot of value to Disney in retrofitting a fully-sold resort for a murphy bed.

They better not mess with the beds at OKW. It's the only studio we'll book because it has two queen beds and no crappy sleeper sofa.

My theory is they are adding the Murphy bed in studios where they can't accommodate 5 sleeping spaces in a one bedroom (BWV, BCV, VWL). There hasn't been any rumors of it being added at AKV during the current renovation, they have the sleep chair in the 1 bedroom. I wouldn't expect it to be added at OKW or BLT. SSR may get it during the next renovation, it has the same floor plan as BWV. VGF was designed to have it in both from the start. Poly has it from the start.

Boulder Ridge has both. I doubt that be an issue, they could limit occupancy for the 2 BR easily even with both sleeping 5. Some of the others may not have enough room to do so and that'd likely be the holdup.

Yes, it is doubtful. 25 years worth of tweaks and alterations to room floorplans and furnishings have made universal changes all but impossible.

It's not a sleeper chair. Really isn't ugly either IMO - beats out the fabric on the old one for sure anyway although I think the old one was more comfortable.

Here's a close up - it has some detailing to it with the nailheads. Not claiming it's a beauty but fits a bit better than the old one ever did. The faux leather cushion was off in color and a bit uncomfortable though but it wasn't the only thing that was just a bit off in color in the refurb there.
