The floor plans show a couch in addition to the pullout. Are these in all/most of the studios? Comfortable enough for a child to sleep on? We are debating a studio vs. a one-bedroom and with the pack-n-play, DH was wondering if we would have that much more space if we didn't pull out the couch. TIA.

It is called a daybed, large enough for a pre-teen child but not an adult, and available only in the "dedicated" studios (ones not attached by an inner door to a 1BR). When reserving make specific request for dedicated studio, a request that is not guaranteed but I believe there are about 90 dedicated studios.

It's not really a couch...more like a small day bed. I do not know the ratio of which studios have them and which do not. I know that yonger kids - 7 and under - have been known to sleep on them. There is no bedding for this.

Only the dedicated studios have the small daybed - it's only about 4 feet long and it is also quite a bit narrower than a twin bed). You can request the dedicated studios (also known as studio plus units), but there is no guarantee that you willb e assigned to one.

Best wishes-

I'd call it a Deacon's bench with about a 1.5" layer of foam on it for a bed. Not comfortable at all for anyone. They are only located in dedicated studios. My son hated it when we tried to get him to try it out for sleeping. He was only about 4 or 5 at the time.

not all dedicated have this day bed - only the ones referred to as 'plus'

you use to be able to reserve a 'plus' studio - but someone say the MS no one accepts reservation for a 'plus' studio.

its maximum is 5 people, not 4 (like all other other studios)

I would call MS and ask how to reserve one of these studios.

This was our exact exerience too. Our 6 y/o wanted to sleep on it. However, quickly decided it was not for him.

But, I'd like to add that I thought it was great for sitting to put on shoes. ;)

We did too!!! We got one of those studios for our very first stay at BWV. It was wonderful, but I certainly wouldn't want to have to sleep on that. Way too small...narrow too.

So in the normal studio , is there just one double bed and a coach?. was hoping to stay next Aug with my 11 year old. Will definetly need two beds...... any advice?

If you must have two beds, your only WDW DVC option is OKW. OKW studios have two queen beds. All of the other WDW DVC studios have one queen bed and the double size sleep sofa.

IMHO, the sleep sofa / pull out bed at the BWV (and the BCV, SSR & VWL) is just fine for one person, especially a child. My two young nephews both slept on it without any complaints. (Again, IMHO, the "daybed", provided in addition to the sleep sofa and queen bed in the BWV dedicated studios is not suitable for a bed for anyone).

Best wishes-

Bed is queen sized and sleeper sofa is double sized in the studio. Only OKW has two queen sized beds in the studios at WDW.
