Studio Availability BCV 9/28 - 10/4?

I'm renting my sister in law's points for our vacation the first week in Oct. I wanted BCV initially, but her home resort is VWL and they won't let her book elsewhere until march 4th. She made tentative reservations there, just in case, but was told it wouldnt be a problem to change her reservation to another resort in March.

My question is: How likely am I to get BCV in another month? There is availability now, I'm told, but do you think there will still be when we are allowed to make the change?

Since that's Food and Wine time, there may be many BCV owners booking in the next month. Most people think that it's highly unlikely that you could switch into BCV during F&W time, but if she calls right at the 7 month mark, you could get it (as MS seems to think there's plenty of availability) or be high enough on the waitlist to be lucky!

Me too! I've wanted to stay at the BC as long as I've known about it and renting points at the Villas look to be my only chance of doing so. I'm sure I'll have a great time at my alternate choices, AKV or SSR, as well-but I love the idea of being able to walk to EPCOT. I'm sure everyone does.

I'm hoping that since we're checking OUT before the first weekend of F&W commences, we'll luck out.

F&W commences Sep 26. That first week of October is the start of the festival.

I'm in the same boat. I'm hoping to switch the first three days of my SSR trip to BWV. (Sep 28-30) MS tells me there's plenty of availability but I still plan of doing a day-by-day switch at 9am exactly 7 mos out. I'm holding a few points in reserve too so I can double book the first two days and wait till the third to do an outright cancellation.

I expect demannd to be very high since this the start of the festival. My backup choices are VWL and AKV. Like you, I just want to try staying elsewhere for a bit. The rest of my trip is at SSR.
