I am confused, if you ask for a room that has two separate entrances, am I ask for a 1bdr lock off or a 2 bdr lock off? I need two beds in one of the rooms how do I ask for that configuration, I do not want the sofa counted as second bed I need 2 real beds. We are staying at SSR

Sounds like the 2 BR? Basically it's a 1 BR with an adjoining door (can be closed and locked) to a studio room--hence the 2nd BR. The 2nd BR/ studio has it's own door from the outside, and the 1 BR has it's own. Is that what you are referring to?

The 1 BR would have the living space/ kitchen and a bedroom with king bed. The studio (2nd BR) has a queen bed and another fold out double or queen (I'm not sure which size it is).

A 2BR that has two front doors is a lock-off, meaning it is a combined 1BR and studio. All 2BR lock-offs have a bed and pull-out couch in the second bedroom (studio) except at OKW where there are two beds. The only way you can get two beds in the second bedroom at SSR is to get a 2BR "dedicated" unit, meaning it has only one front door and can be used only as a 2BR.

If you would consider staying at OKW, all studios have two queen beds (not bed and pull-out). So, you could still get 2 doors and 2 queen beds! :thumbsup2

If you decide to get a dedicated 2-BR at SSR, the 2nd bedroom is pretty private. I wished I had a picture of the entryway, but when you walk in (if the master is to your left), you immediately turn right and you'll run into the door of your 2nd bedroom. You have to walk a little ways into the unit before you're in the kitchen and master bedroom areas.

At DVC resorts where the studio has a queen sized bed and double sleeper sofa, you will never get a two bedroom lock off with two queen beds in the second bedroom. You need to have a dedicated two bedroom (and even some of the dedicated at BCV don't have two queen beds in the second bedroom) for that arrangement.

Unless, like Buckeye Fan says, you would consider staying at OKW. All the studios at OKW have two queen beds in the studio and, therefore, the second bedroom of the lockoff.

The only studios with 2 real beds are OKW as noted and the VB Inn rooms but not true studios at VB.

At VB, do all dedicated 2BRs have 2 beds in the second bedroom?
I believe so. The one we had last May did. Remember the dedicated 2 BR units are all in the worst locations, on the tips of the horseshoe closest to the parking lot and A1A.
