Hi there

I'm organising a group of school students to Disney ... we have 4 adults and 5 17 year olds.

I'm told that Disney require an adult per room at Pop Century. Is this correct ?

We would prefer that the youngsters stay together. How can we achieve this ?

Ideally looking for the below configuration:

Room 1
2 x adults

Room 2
2 x students

Room 3
2 x students

Room 4
1 x student

Room 5
1 x adult

Room 6
1 x adult

Any ideas ?

you can try All stars - they have groups.

Pop does not.

or you can wait until the teens are 18 - then Disney will allow them to stay by themselves

I forgot to mention that the park ticket prices are reduced for school groups.

You probably should call and see if nine people can be considered a youth group. In general I believe an adult (18 or over) must be registered in each room.

Good Point. I looked it up on the website and the minimum is 10 students.

My son's group is about 80 people consisting of mostly students. The students are staying in their own rooms but they also have a security guard who stays outside the kids rooms form 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The band director used a touring company to plan the trip. They are participating in the Disney Magic Music Days program and will be performing in the MK. Family members are permitted to accompany the band but the price for adults is slightly higher. The rest of the family is going too but we are going on our own. We are staying an additional two days. The touring company was able to add two days and make his park pass a hopper for an additional $40.

If it is correct, and you only have 4 adults, then the maximum number of rooms that you can get is 4 rooms, with 1 adult in each room, and then spread the teens accordingly - HOWEVER - Disney is not going to do a bed check and see who is sleeping where, so create the 4 room reservations to meet their criteria, and then let the children and adults sleep where they prefer.

It's also highly likely that at least 2 of the rooms will have a connecting door between them - you could keep this somewhat open to monitor the teens.

Regardless of the size of the group, most "youth" organizations don't allow adults that are not that child's parent to occupy the same room.
