Machines are free. Even if there is a coin mechanism, it will operate without coins/tokens. There should be a machine where you can purchase a box of laundry soap.

There are often jugs of detergent left by other guests. My guess is evacuating guests left *gifts* for other guests.

See if you can get extra towels in case water leaks in around the patio door.

There could be worse places to ride the storm out. You're likely to have food and access to the lobby area throughout the storm because the CMs will ride the storm out with you. We were at Pop for Charley and they closed the food court because that didn't want people to wander outside in a hurricane (I did anyway )

You should see the line in the lobby, appears to be guests trying to extend their stay due to airport closures. Surprising to security stationed right there.

We are set to depart Friday at 9 pm. Watching that res very closely for cancellation

No room at the inn currently for Friday evening here for us to extend. CRO the same. Could change by the minute as things in flux I suppose. Don’t really want to pull that trigger until last minute anyway as lots of offsite options in MCO

We fared well during Matthew at Royal pacific, lesser event. Just hope they do have emergency generators based upon news predictions of wind speeds

Brown is a normal color here in the Carolinas and I've seen brown frogs in AL, TN and GA; so it's definitely a normal color elsewhere in the South.

Somewhere I read that some people at OKW have the same complaint. But at least at Kidani, you can get to the lobby without going outside. Didn't they used to have characters visit the lobby and have snack boxes available? Too bad you're just fending for yourself.

Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Water Parks​

Walt Disney World theme parks are temporarily closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29:

• Magic Kingdom Park
• EPCOT
• Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
• Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park (Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is currently closed for the season.)
• Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
• Fantasia Gardens
• Fairways Miniature Golf

Partially used multi-day theme park tickets with a validity window impacted by closure due to Hurricane Ian will be automatically extended to allow use of the remaining unused ticket days through Sept. 30, 2023. In order to enter a park, both a park reservation and valid ticket for the same park on the same date are required.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels​

For the safety of our Guests and Cast Members, all Guests including our Disney Vacation Club Members must check-in to our resorts on Sept. 28, by 3 p.m. Guests may reschedule their trip or cancel their stay with us; any customary cancellation fees will be waived. Check-in will not be accepted on Thursday, Sept. 29. For Guests with a Friday, Sept. 30 check-in, please arrive at your resort no earlier than 3 p.m. ET; Guests who arrive before 3 p.m. will not be able to check in.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom has been cancelled for Thursday, Sept. 29. If you purchased Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets for the event on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022 directly from Disney using a credit card, debit card, or Disney Rewards Cards a refund will be automatically processed back to your original form of payment within 7 business days. Please note: refunds may take longer to appear on your statement depending on your financial institution. If you purchased directly from Disney using another method of payment or your purchase included other products, please contact us.

If you purchased a Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket from a travel agent, travel wholesaler or other third-party travel seller, please contact your travel seller for further information.

Effective immediately, we will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences like Savi’s Workshop and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue have been cancelled Sept. 28 through Sept. 30 in light of the temporary closure of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Guests with pre-paid reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

• Walt Disney World Transportation has temporarily stopped operating and will begin again once the storm has passed, subject to safety conditions.
• Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World resort Guests with existing breakfast reservations.

Other Walt Disney World Experiences​

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyages that departed Tuesday, Sept. 27 and voyages departing Thursday, Sept. 29 have been cancelled due to the potential impact on the Guest experience. Guests with reservations for these dates are asked to please call (407) 939-5209 for help with modifying their plans.

ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is closed Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29.

Disney Springs is closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28. We anticipate Disney Springs will also be closed on Thursday, Sept. 29, and will provide updates as we continue to track the storm.

Drawn to Life presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney is cancelled on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29. The 5:30 p.m. show on Friday, Sept. 30 will be rescheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.

I am riding it out boardwalk villas. I have been amazed how much the pool was open here today. Felt bad for the poor lifeguards standing out there in the rain! Our assigned time for the buffet at the boardwalk convention center is 8-9 if we want to go there. Thankfully finally got my room extended an extra day since we were supposed to leave tomorrow.
