My DH and I have been to WDW alot, so now we are going back with our 7 months old son. WE NEED HELP. I can't think of any place to go. We are trying to skip places we have eaten before.

Please help me. What are some of your favorites and why?

Do you want buffets or table service - character or non-character?...parks or resorts? Do you have a car or will you be using disney transport...all those answers would help with getting suggestions!

For resorts, we like The Wave at the Contemporary (good steaks, wonderful desserts), Cape May Clam Bake (buffet, no characters, seafood & good variety) at the Beach Club. Cali Grille/Contemporary was o.k., but not worth the $$ in our opinion.

For parks, we liked Crystal Palace at MK (like the Pooh characters, good variety, good service), CRT (dinner-it's the castle, loved the experience) at MK without the

At DHS, we loved Mama Melrose (nice peaceful atmosphere, and good Italian food), liked Hollywood & Vine (buffet, nice variety but a bit hectic).

At AK, we liked Tusker House (dinner, buffet...well organized, good variety & good service, no character at dinner)

Our choices at Epcot are the same as where you've already been...trying Coral Reef in January for the first time.

Our favorites include LeCellier, Biergarten (love the live band and watching the little ones dance), Crystal Palace for breakfast with Pooh and friends, Mama Melrose, Yak & Yeti and the Plaza Restaurant. We've had always had outstanding service and above average food each time we have visited.

Ok...
We are on the deluxe dining plan so we have lots of options, and have park hopper tickets. We are also fans of eating in the resorts.
We like buffetts, but sit down is also nice so I'm not concerned there.
Non-Character would be great as the character are 2 table service meals.

We love ALL types of food. No joke, are up for anything!

We have 2 reservations so far... Biergarten and Le Cellier

Sorry about the lack of info, trying to type with the baby was just not working out!

Yikes, your ticker says two weeks until your trip, :scared1: if it's right you probably just need to call to see what is open, you might not have that much to choose from.

BTW, the only two table service character meal is CRT.

There's actually only a couple of character meals that are 2 table service each (CRT and the dinner show variety like Hoop De Doo) Seems like most of the character meals/buffets are still only 1 TS--some are character meals only at breakfast, others are characters for all meals, but for 1 table service you can do 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Tusker House...all those are character meals for one or more meals. And the nice thing about the buffets with a baby is you're not waiting forever to get served in case baby is fussy. And there may be some things baby can eat, too like mashed potatoes (if baby is on some table food by then.)

wow, didn't notice the ticker being so soon! Agree with PP, better get on the phone with reservations and start booking, especially your dinners. Just remember to spread out your meal times...if you're going for 3 table service a day, you'll want 4-5 hours between meal reservation times. With a baby in tow, I guess I'd suggest a table service breakfast early, a counter service lunch mid-day and a table service dinner. That way you'd have more flexibility in the middle of day when baby might be needing to go back to resort for R & R.

Ohana at the Poly is another option that's more of an "adventure" in dining but still only 1 table service each. We liked Kona for dinner, too.

Since you're doing Deluxe, you can eat at table or counter service...so to pass on some ideas for nice alternatives to table service at lunch & quicker meals of the non-burger sort...Cosmic Rays in MK has the chicken/ribs combo with m potatoes & veg; most resort food courts also offer several platter/combo choices like Italian or Asian entrees. We liked Starring Rolls or Pizza Planet in DHS for counter service lunch. In Epcot, Sunshine Seasons in the Land building has many options, and in World Showcase, we loved Morocco's counter service (shwarma platter was wonderful.) In Animal Kingdom, love Flametree Barbeque-either the ribs platter or the rotisserie chicken platter if you don't like BBQ sauce.

DD has grown up and likes sit down places now...no characters, but better food. Our list of favorites include Le Cellier and Coral Reef for dinner (Coral Reef wasn't as good at lunch), The Wave, Yachtman's Steak House at the Yacht Club. For Character food, 1900 Park Fare at dinner, Cape May cafe at breakfast.

Our favorites are:

Coral Reef- good food and cool atmosphere
Boma- but you already know why...
Ohana- we dine during fireworks, neat experience and food is very good
LeCellier- a must for us
Les Chef de France- great variety to try

Thank You All for the information! I was licuky enough to get some AWESOME ressies! I guess planning a vacation in two days can be a good thing sometimes!

Here they are
Jan 2nd
Breakfast - Boatwrights- I've been dying to try the Sweet Potato Pancakes
Lunch- LeCellier- This is the first time in 3 vacations we actully get to go!
Dinner- Biergarten

Jan 3rd
Breakfast-Boma
Lunch-The Crystal Palace
Dinner- Wispering Canyon

I'm so excited now... Thank You All Again!!

Boma breakfast and Cape May breakfast are the best, we just love them and try to eat at each one on every trip

Tutto Italia is incredible, Jiko is our new favorite restaurant and Flying Fish is a distant second. If you like seafood Fultons is out of this world, we tried it in Oct and are going back in Jan, March and Oct it is just that good!

Some of our favorites:

* Turf Club at SSR - nice sit down (this is one of the best meals I've ever had on Dis property).
* Pepper Market @ Coronado Springs - food court of sorts, but they have great Mexican food (wet burrito and enchiladas!) and good burgers. We will never make a trip, and not hit the PM!!! I think it's the best food court at WDW.
* Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge - Good food and fun atmosphere - we get the all you can eat (pulled pork, ribs, corn on cob, smashed potatos, chicken, etc.).
* ESPN Zone - Sandwiches/Burgers and enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant and the Boardwalk.
* The Plaza in MK - It's our favorite place to eat in MK. Limited menu (burger, sandwishes), GREAT milkshakes!
*Trails End at Fort Wilderness - Homestyle Buffet (we welcomed it after a couple of days of junk and no veggies!!!).

We're big fans of Raglan Road at DTD. Its a laid back atmosphere with quiet "nook" tables for your little one. The food is excellent and different without being strange (my DBF is not the most adventerous eater!). And we never have a problem getting a reservation, even on short notice, so your small window of time to book shouldn't pose a problem.

Happy Eating!

The 2 you have ressies for we don't like at all but here are my suggestions anyway...

Yachtsman Steakhouse is always a winner with us.
We enjoyed the Wave & Yak & Yeti as far as new restaurants go.
Jiko's is one of our favorites...terrific service, food & wine.
Flying Fish was very good food but the service was not as good as usual.

Enjoy!

Totally agree with above- have two young boys who have both been going since we they were babies and we and they have always loved the above- also Sci Fi as they watch the movie endlessly
