Hi all! Brand new here so I apologize if this has been asked before, I'm just learning how to navigate this site. We're going to Magic Kingdom with our almost 3 year old and wondering if we're able to rent a stroller. We were hoping to not travel with one and just rent instead. Any input is greatly appreciated!

you can rent on site hard plastic ones ( I heard they are easy to push ) or you can rent from off site for your stay

you are not allowed to take the Disney strollers out of the parks so having one that you can maybe a good thing if your little one is sleeping and you have a long buss line to stand in.

here is what the Disney strollers look like

There are strollers to rent that are a 'hard' formed plastic, not very comfortable IMO. The singles rent for $15 per day, doubles for $31.

They do not recline, but do have a sun canopy.
They are only for 'in park' use.

There are off site rentals also that would be far more comfortable and can be used anywhere.

We rented from Kingdom Strollers in December and it was super easy- just picked up and dropped off at bell service. We did the city mini gt but I think a regular city mini would have been fine. Would definitely recommend!

We've rented from both magic strollers and kingdom. Both are great companies, never had any issues. :)

I would rent from offsite as others have said. nice to have at resort and to and from transportation. we did the offsite rental this past summer with a 4 month and 4 year old. it is a long trip to buses, boats, cars or trams with a tired child at end of day and park rental has to be left before you go out the gates. and that is what we would do again

As PP's have stated there are strollers for r4ent for in park use only.
There are also offsite rental companies.

Personally though with a child that is not quite 3 I'd just opt to bring your own.
This can be a life saver in the airport if you'll be flying and it can be gate checked so you'll have it for all the walking in the airport.

Also if you will be using Disney transportation I'd recommend looking into fairly nice umbrella strollers because you have to fold down the stroller on transportation and I am constantly seeing families struggle to fold down their giant strollers which still take up a ton of room and they are very heavy and just all around difficult to manage on the buses especially.

Thank you all for your replies, they are really helpful! In terms of renting from the offsite companies, do you have to be staying on the resort in order for it to be delivered there? We're not staying on the resort and will just be visiting Magic Kingdom for one day and will be going on a four day Disney cruise. The reason why I hesitate bringing our stroller is that my daughter absolutely does not like sitting in strollers. I just wanted to have something though for Magic Kingdom as I imagine she'll get tired at some point and want to sit. You all are so helpful! Thank you!!

In light of this info I would now suggest just renting a stroller from Magic Kingdom if need be.
For just one day and the fact that you will not be utilizing the Disney buses coupled with the fact that your daughter does not even care for strollers I think renting from the park is probably the best option.
I have not used a rental company but I highly doubt they're going to meet you at your car at the TTC to deliever the stroller for the day.
Perhaps they'd deliver it to an offsite hotel but there may be a minimum amount of days you have to rent it.

That absolutely makes the most sense. When you say it like that it seems so simple :) Thank you for the suggestions and advice, it helped having talked it through :)

So I will try to explain what me and my family do. We always take out Ergo Baby backapck ( https://www.lillebaby.com/completetm-airflow.html?gclid=CNje5NfastECFYaPswodbugKHg#198=178 ) to travel through the airports, stand in long lines and long walks without the stroller. Its super comfortable for both my wife and I, and my daughter never complains about it.
We also rent a stroller City Mini GT Double from Kingdom Strollers (there are other stroller rental companies but we always use them) at about $90 a week. They deliver it to you at the hotel and will pick it up after you leave. We get the double because we also have a 5 and half year old and she likes to eventually take a break from the walks.
You can rent a stroller from Disney, but everyday you have to get it from the park entrance and return it at the end of the night at the park entrance, you can not take it to the hotels with you. These strollers are hard backed, non reclinings hard plastic strollers. The reason we go with the Citi Mini rental (other than owning one ourselves) is that it reclines to a almost complete flat, so our daughters can actually take a nap inside the parks. Naps are important especially on long MK days, or Hot AK days.
Have fun

Thank you so much for your suggestions BobbyDukes! You guys really are wonderful. We leave next weekend and can't wait!!

We are renting a CityMiniGT double from Kingdom Strollers for our trip with a baby and toddler in a few weeks. I'm interested in hearing others' experiences with them! Thanks!

Own one, best stroller ever! If you're in need of any review info let me know, but it's the best stroller out there for multiple kids in my opinion.

We are renting a CityMiniGT

You may already know this, but one of the biggest criteria for my tall son and his veery petite wife when considering a stroller to purchase was an adjustable height handle. The City Mini GT has an adjustable handle and the the regular City Mini does not. So be sure to choose the GT whether single or double if that feature is important to you.

My grandson is slightly over the height/weight requirements for city mini so I will need to reserve the GT. Is the GT just as easy to fold & handle getting in & off bus. Lightweight? Will be by myself with 5 yr old grandson so just wondering.
