Hi! Can anyone tell me what the strollers you can rent are like? Do they recline? Have a basket? How big of a kid can fit in one? I'm trying to decide if I should rent one or take my own. We are driving, so that is not an issue. THANKS!

Thanks! That's a great picture of them. Do they have a basket underneath for stuff?

When my granddaughter had just turned five, I faced a TON of opposition from my family on whether we needed to take a stroller. I went through a ton of advice. One thing to seriously consider. Is your child(ren) willing after a day in the parks, to walk back to the bus or car without a stroller? Once you reach the park exit, your stroller will need to be turned in. It can be a long walk for little legs. And when you get back to your resort, same thing. Since we were driving as well, I threw the stroller into the car and it came in handy a couple of times outside the parks.

They have mesh baskets on the back for stuff. (Water bottles, autograph books, then a bigger pocket for bigger stuff.) We also kept our backpack right on top. They are super-easy to maneuver.

IF they can't make the walk back, then the park visit was too long.

Sorry, but I know I am starting it all up again, but kids do not need to be in a stroller past age of 4.

You'd be suprised what a kid can do if you let them show you.

Plus, you have to schedule breaks and naps.

Those strollers look oh so comfy. NOT!

While I would love for my son to walk all the time (he's turning four) I can't imagine making him walk for 7 days all day long, even with breaks. If the kid wants to take a rest in the stroller that's fine with me. Heck, I wish I had a stroller sometimes.

We always liked using the park strollers. It was easy and the kids enjoyed them.

I guess the question I have is who determines that anyone over the age of 4 shouldn't be in a stroller? Seriously, who made that decision and where is it posted by the Surgeon General or any other health official that kids 4 and under should be the only one's in strollers.

We haven't used them since my kids were 4, but I really am amazed at people who think their rules are the only ones we should follow and the rest of us are bad parents.

You amazed me Got Quatro??

Who said the OP child(ren) was/were past the age of four? Yes, you are starting things up again but it's a parental choice. Not yours who knows nothing about the habits of a particular child that you've never met.

This granddaughter's stepfather (my son) was walking without a stroller at the age of 18 months. I guess I should say that all children should be doing that. Were yours?
