Strollers

Just wondering if I brought my own strollers can I bring them on the bus with us to the parks? If I have to rent them down there it will be well over $100 for the length of my stay, so hopefully you can bring your own. I was not sure on the policy especially since it seems the buses are very crowded. Does anyone know???

Yes you can bring strollers on the bus, trams, boats, etc. You don't even have to fold them to ride the monorail!

Bring a stroller. Not only will you save money, but you will be able to use it outside of the parks. We bought cheap umbrella strollers when our kids were toddlers in order to save money since we would need two strollers for the week. It turned out to be one of our better purchases. We used them for 4 to 5 years (two 7-day trips a year). They fold easy, weigh very little, and take up very little room on the buses/boats. We were also very glad to have a place for the kids to sit while waiting on the transportation.

We always took a stroller that was better than an umbrella stroller but in the lightweight cateogry, with these features:

1) Bag storage
2) cup holder (hard to drive and hold a drink)
3) sun shade
4) back that lowers for napping
5) Seatbelt

Don't overpack, and put your stuff in a bag that drops into the bag storage area. This way you can pull the bag out fast, fold the stroller and get on the bus. I see so many families that can't fold their stroller becuase they have so much junk crammed into the storage basket.

Don't hang a bag on the handle, you will tip over the stroller a lot.

Use the seatbelt, even for older toddlers. This prevents them from suddenly getting up while you are rolling... which usually plants them face down on pavement.
