Hi all! I just wanted to let you know that we took our stroller from home (Graco Coach & Rider) and 9 times out of 10 when we went on a ride, I'd forget that I'd left my cel phone in the tray on the handle of the stroller. We also left the diaper bag in the bottom each time and we never felt weird about doing it and never had a single problem.
Now while I don't recommend my bird brained act of forgetting my cel phone each time, I just wanted to let you guys know that I never felt like my stuff might not be there when I got back.

I've always dragged a giant backpack and was usually able to bring on ride or leave on the side where we would exit at the end.

Its great nobody messed with your stuff. :)

I will have to deal with the stroller issues but likely my dad and step mom will be coming and she rarely rides all the rides. :) So I'll probably have a stroller/todler watcher. hehe :)

Oh by the way your son is adorable. Very pretty eyes. :)

Thanks! I love your daughters name and she looks like a sweetie pie!

DWhittles,

On an unrelated note, how was your son on the flight. I keep worrying about that aspect of our trip the most.

We flew Jet Blue and he was a total dream. On the way there, there was a super tiny baby, I think she was maybe a month old and the captain announced that there were going to make a super gradual desecent into Orlando so that the baby experienced as little cabin pressure change as possible. I think that really helped.
On the way back home, he slept the entire time. There were plenty of other families with very unhappy babies though crying and screaming so it was nice knowing if he had started it, I wouldn't have been alone...

We too left everything in/on the stroller and were lucky. We had spray bottles hanging, new disney hats, cell phone in basket etc. Only thing I keep on me is the digital camera.

I like to believe in people.......

JaxCon,
I'd like to say I left my stuff beaucse I believe in people but truth is I grew up in NYC and I really don't believe in people. I left my stuff beacuse it was 91 degrees almost every day with no shade and I think I was delerious from the heat!!!!!!!
I get the feeling thought that our stories are more the rule than the exception. For some reason, I think people respect stuff in the parks...

This is great to hear - I've been worried about stoller theft. We'll be traveling to DW in January with our 6th month old - her first visit and her stroller is a must have.

NO ONE stole our stroller but I sure did try to steal someone else's

We had an Eddie Bauer tandem stroller & I tried to take one that was just like ours ... but their's was CLEAN, not scratched, didn't have stuff all over it :teeth:

But, we have never had anyone try to steal our stroller.
:smooth:

We do put a dis lime green mickey head on it along with lime green ribbons. That really helps. ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

We do leave our diaper bag in the stroller but take my oversized Lands' End fanny pack which holds my wallet, neb machine & all of the "stuff" from our 2 princess: princess:

Greetings! I'm new to the board, but a looong time WDW visitor. I've been visiting with a stroller for 2 1/2 years now, and have not had any problems. I usually have two bags per trip: a bigger one with changes of clothes, extra diapers, snack items, extra shoes. I also bring a small shoulder bag in which I keep anything valuable, (camera, money, AP, driver's license, etc.), plus a diaper and wipes. Big bag stays in the basket of the stroller, small bag comes with me when we do an attraction. I also leave a motley assortment of junk in and on the stroller: half empty water bottles and soda cups, snack wrappers, MANY napkins, an old hat, a bandanna..... sometimes I'll exit an attraction and look for my stroller and realize it's the messiest looking one out there! Maybe that's a deterrent to theft?! ;)

MouseTherapy - your stroller sonds like mine! I had to hose it down when we got home!

We have never left our video camera in the stroller and we keep our money and credit cards on our persons. But we leave everything else in the stroller. We have never had a problem.

There have been several times that one I have been standing in stroller parking and heard a diaper bag ringing. I have also seen cameras left in strollers.

I am sure it is not "safe" but I think that for the most part people will not touch the stuff.

I have never had a problem either, isn't it great? It restores my faith in mankind!

BTW, I think people are carrying so much of their own crap that they can't possibly take someone else's too!!!!!

We assured our DD & her DH that it would be OK to leave almost anything in GS stroller. Wrong. Their first day at WDW & nice diaper bag gone w some clothing, etc. Fortunately they had videocam w them. WDW lulls you into a sense of security. Caution a good idea. Take behind-scenes tour some time & you might see WDW security & Orange County Sheriff Dept at work. We saw handcuffed person being loaded in squad. WDW is still part of the real world.

That's just LOUSY. Why would someone take a diaper bag? I agree that you can't ever let your guard down 100% to do so would be stupid even in the happiest place on earth!
Diana

I wouldn't leave anythign valuable, but I am prepared to risk my diaper bag, if it is taken I would be very upset, but there is nothign in there that would ruin our trip, and there is no way we are carrying everything with us all the time.

I was in WDW a couple of weeks ago on a solo trip. Since I was solo, I noticed a lot of stuff that I had not paid attention to before. I could not believe the things people left in strollers! Lots of Disney mister fans, really nice cooler bags, and Disney sacks of all sizes. When I have been on a stroller trip, we always took everything with us to prevent theft. Yes, theft does happen at Disney! We had a bag stolen at BB and I witnessed a family having a total meltdown at MGM because their stroller stuff had disappeared. I have also read posts on these boards about stroller theft. Although Disney is relatively safe, it is still part of the real world! Know that you are taking a big chance leaving stuff in your stroller and be prepared for the consequences.

No problems with me either and i have been going for 20yrs ,in the most crowded times of the yr and the most quiet times of the yr:sunny: But I always say , if you have a second thought about anything -go back-if for one minute i had a thought about leaving a bag or anything else i would go back and get it.
