going to wdw in august. have a 4 yr old who is around 44 in and 45 lbs- do you know of any umbrela strollers that recline and are big enough for him- we have one now but it is pretty bulky. thanks :cool1:

The Maclaren umbrella strollers are good for up to 55 lbs. I have one and love it. Not sure how much you want to spend though. If you do a search on the boards, you will find many praises for maclarens.

If you only need it for the trip, you could consider renting also. Although, the price can add up for that too.

Peg Perego probably makes a stroller for larger kids also, but I'm not all that familiar with pegs. HTH!

We now use el-cheapo umbrella strollers for our two younger children. They don't recline, but that's never been a problem. When they're tired, our kids will sleep anywhere. These strollers have been fantastic. We've never had a problem with them, and we don't have to worry about them being stollen (like we worried about our Maclaren double stroller). BTW, we've used a $13 umbrella stroller dh picked up at a nearby grocery store for 3 week long trips and it's still going strong.

Another vote for MACLAREN. I just got one about 2 wees ago and it is AMAZING!!!!! I got the Quest Mod in Rose Pink for my little girl. Maclarens hold up to 55 pounds, which is great! They fold nice and compact, too. There is a sun canopy with a small pocket and it also has a storage basket underneath.

Here are the Quests on ebay right now:

Here is the one I got, but in pink. It is shown here in blue (Insignia):

This is a VERY reasonable price ($109/$119). I paid $179...they retail in the store for $199.

Any other questions about it, let me know!

I got a Mac Quest last year for our then 3 yr old son to use at WDW. Now our baby girl uses it (and thanks to the weight limit our son can still use it). I love it and wish it was the only stroller I ever bought. It reclines (not all the way , but enough) and can be used as young as 3 months. It even has a little extender like a leg rest that slides out for babies so their legs dont hang over.

We bought the Maclaren Quest last year for our then 5 year old and love it so much that we are planning on leaving the big stroller at home and getting another Maclaren for DD#3 for this year's trip. I found ours here last year http://www.specialtybaby.com/strolfrommac.html I think I paid $125 for a 2004 Quest and they offered free shipping on purchases over $100.
