Strollers -- for Tall Families???

I'm sorry to add yet another Stroller question -- but I have to ask.

We're all over 6' --- except for the 3 year old & 9 year old (but he's moving there soon) The 3 year is very tall for her age as well (looks five already and we're not going until Dec)

Will she be too tall to fit in the rental stroller comfortably? And will we be uncomfortable pushing the rental strollers?

We usually use joggers with the highest pushing arms. (Long legs are not an asset in strollers I've determined) We can bring a jogger for her -- but we're flying so I'd like to the hassle if possible.

We are having this issure right now too. I am 6' and my DH is 6'4. My 2 years old son is very tall. Right now I am leaning towards the Macclaren Volo because it is small with a 55 lb weight limit. A few pwople on here have stated that it works well for tall people like us

This is one issue we have also my wife is 6'1" amd I am a shorter 6'0" and all teh strollers we have ever had the handles were way to short so we bought a proper jogging stroller to eliminate this issue it was expensive but so worth it especially while trapsing around WDW with the not so little little ones. Our 10 year old is allready 5'3" and our younger ones are quickly edging towards the 4'0" mark.

I just bought this yesterday at Target and I LOVE it! My DH is 6' and it was tall enough for him! The seat had a lot of room for my DD-it was $99 and I though that was a steal for the brand!

I don't have the VOLO... but I do have a couple Maclaren strollers. I think only the higher end models have the adjustable handles... Not the Volo...
So make sure you try it out.... wouldn't want u to be disapointed when you got it home and it didn't have the Adjustable handles!!

I recently bought a Chicco for my DD and the handles are quite high. My DH is fine with them and he's 6'3". Not all models have higher handles. This is the one we have:

I have a Peg Perego Pliko P3 and the we're tall and it works well for us.

I'm 6'2, DH is 6'9. DD is 43" tall at just past 3 y/o, so we're in a similar position.

The Maclaren Volo was more than tall enough for all 3 of us. So that might be a good fit.

I think the rentals at MGM may be ok since they're joggers. But the plastic ones everywhere else seem awfully short to me.

well, the Jeep Strollers have higher handles. They also drive nicely and my Ds's said they were comfortable.

But, I would just go with the rental stroller. My boys ahd no problems last tiem and even the time before that when my 11 and 9 yr old girls were in it together. they enjoyed the ride. and fit enough inside with some bags.

We used a Peg Perego P3 for our last trip, it has a larger basket than the Maclarens and still folds compactly. I'm 5'11" and can push it comfortably, my uncle is 6'6" and liked it as well.

We have been drooling over the lime green Peg Perego Pliko P3 at Babies R Us but I just can't bring myself to spend $329 on a stroller even though I know it is worth EVERY penny and more!!

I'm 5'11" and DH is 6'2" and all of the strollers we have looked at without adjustable handles are just so short they are hard to push. DD8 also wants to be able to push the stroller when we go to WDW so we need one with handles that go up for us and down for her.

The rental strollers are very heavy duty and will fit them. I had my son in them until he was 6 and he was over 50 lbs by them and pretty tall. I used stroller so long because it is just easier to get from place to place fast.

I'll echo the recommendations for the Peg Perego P3. My husband is 6'3" and I'm shorter at 5'8" but the adjustable handles fit both of us great. We have a cheaper stroller that we used while our Peg was being repaired after our dog chewed the handle and it was such a pain! I really like the Peg, especially in Disney because it folds so compactly so it makes it nice on the buses.

Well, FWIW, i'm 6'5" and DW is 6'

we purchased the joovy cabose and love it. i'm a stay at home dad and you couldn't get me to give that thing up. our sons 2-3 like it fine, we did take the sun shade off though, much better, and if we are outside you have screen on them anyway, so no big deal. oldest likes to sit/stand depending on his mood.

also, we used this at disney christmas week and it was great. it folds down not much bigger than a "regular" travel system stroller.

We have a Manhattan Dreamer - jogging stroller although it's not used for jogging. LOVE it - adjustable handle for taller and shorter and it's a piece of cake to adjust. The rental strollers (and I only have DL experience) might be a little uncomfortable for you, they ARE jogging strollers but they're not adjustable.

I thought the Volo was discontinued? It's no longer on the Maclaren website, I don't think, The Triumph is comparable, no?

We have a Mac stroller and it is by far DH's (6'1") favorite stroller to push. He ends up kicking the back of any of our other ones. We have the twin traveller double and are in love with it.

I am not sure if the volo was discontinued, but you can sometimes get awesome deals on ebay or albeebaby.com after they are no longer sold in stores. Albee has great customer service and free shipping too!
