Strollers at DL

Ok, this is getting close to my last few questions. I did get the luggage out and check the weather so I can start to pack.

How safe is our new Maclaren stroller in DL? I have never had a single problem in WDW but we don't get many folks in for just a day. My son loves his stroller but it is expensive and the only one I have.

Are we going to be safe leaving it while on rides? Do they have CM's moving strollers as they do in the world?

We left our strollers with jackets, packages, food, drinks, etc outside the rides all week, and never had a single problem.

If you find that your stroller seems to have been "stolen" check with a CM - you may have parked in a no-parking zone and your stroller may have been moved to a "legal" DL stroller parking zone.

We've never had a problem, but if you need the piece of mind, just get a $5.00 cable lock at Walmart and lock it to something while you will be gone. If there is literally nothing around to use, then run the cable through the wheels. If you are traveling with someone and they also have a stroller, you could lock them to each other.

Never leave anything in the stroller that you are not prepared to lose forever. If you have a diaperbag or other bags, try to leave them open and unzipped so that curious eyes can see inside that there are only diapers and nothing of greater interest.

I was paranoid about this same issue. I didn't want to lose the only "easy" stroller I have. We however had no problem whatsoever on our trip. It's very obvious as to where the Stroller parking is designated at. One of the best tips I got on this board was to tie a brightly colored ribbon on your stroller so you can find it easily in the sea of strollers..........that was SOOO helpful. I went to Joanne's fabric and picked out the most brightest...(hideous) piece of ribbon I could find. I highly reccommend doing this since after awhile they all look the same, Maclaren or not..and trust me there are LOTS of maclarens there. But yes...take out any valuables. We only left waters and maybe a sweatshirt in the basket...otherwise our valuables were ALWAYS with us.
See the ribbon...I tell ya ..it was a lifesaver

Do NOT lock it to something! Security will come cut it loose. If you want a little peice of mind run the lock through the wheels as suggested.

Our Maclaren is lime green and it seems very easy to find in the sea of dark colours. I feel very comfortable at WDW and it is comforting to know that we will be ok at DL.

Thanks friends for all the help. I have also heard to buy a balloon and tie it onto the stroller. Look for the balloon and you have the stroller. Problem, all the other children want the balloon.

I am feeling like I have covered everything possible and we are ready for our trip

I dont recomend a balloon. We usually end up with a free balloon after breakfast at Minnies. I try to make it disappear as soon as possible. They get in the way when you are walking and they blow down. And if there is any wind, that just adds to the problem.

Oh, I totally have a no balloon policy til we leave! They really get in the way and become annoying.

We have bright luggage tags attached to ours. The only places I have seen them shuffle strollers around extensively are in front of IASW. We ALWAYS have ours moved there for some reason even if we park it where we are told to by a CM. The other place is by POTC. This is a crazy place for strollers too.

I have heard of things getting stolen but it doesnt happen very often. We have never had a problem.

Have to agree on the balloon thing!! Always in our darn way no matter what!! But I also have taken every end of the spectrum as far as strollers (Graco, Peg Perego, Chicco, Evenflo) and I have never had a single problem either!!

We don't have to use the balloon because of the lime green colour. You will see us coming from a mile away! It is bright and cheer and matches my lime green baggalnine. Love the lime green.

We are now because we have an aid coming with us. She has offered to help and I took that offer without thinking.

DL here we come!
