We will be traveling in Sept with our 2.5 yr old and a heavy 13 mth old. He now weighs 30 pds at 10 mths!!! I am trying to decide what to do. We own a double Jane Power Twin which is great but is a little heavy. We also have a Peg Pliko which we also love. I can't decide what to bring. Originally thinking to bring Pliko and rent second at WDW. Then thought about price and airport and thought maybe we should bring double, but I don't want to be stuck with just a double casue DS#1 does not like being in stroller that much anymore so other option would be buy a second lightweight like a mac volo or quest. We are also thinking of bringing an ergo but not sure as when I borrowed one from a friend all he wanted to do was pull my hair!!! SO here are my options, please let me know what is easiest and what you htink would work best.

1- just double Jane Powertwin
2-Double Powertwin and Pliko
3-Pliko and buy new Mac volo or quest
4- pliko, ergo carrier and rent 2nd stroller
5-pliko, mac and ergo carrier

Can I vote other? I would take your favorite double stroller and an ergo. The Ergo will be perfect for a heavy 13 mos old. Put your hair up. My ds went through a time where he wanted to pull my hair all the time. Annoying but it passed. I just tried to keep my hair out of the way.

Even though you 2.5 year old is not a fan of the stroller, he will ride in it at Disney. You will walk miles and miles and depending on when you go, the park will be crowded. At 2.5 you really want a stroller for him and at 13 mos your baby needs one as well. If you want to carry your baby in the Ergo full time and put your 2.5 year old in the stroller, that is an option as well, but with a one year old, I'd want to have a seat for him. With older kids I think the rental is fine, but with a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old, I'd take your own comfy stroller. I'd take the ergo no matter what stroller you take. Holding a 30 lb babe in your arms while you wait in line will get very old very fast.

My DD is almost 3 and I can't imagine not bringing a stroller for her (either the double or two singles...I guess it depends if you think you might split up at all). I don't know how long you are staying, but I don't think that I would bother renting if you are going to be there more than a couple of days. You're better off buying one when you consider how much you'll be spending on a rental.

I would definitely bring the Ergo for the 13 month old. On the trips that we took with DD when she was 14 mo. and 18 mo., the baby carrier was probably used more than the stroller. Being in a strange environment like that, she wanted to be carried all of the time and only by me. Not to mention, it is very nice to have for the lines.
