Stroller

We took a Summer brand umbrella stroller on our last visit when daughter was 5. It has a capacity of 50 lbs.
We plan to go again when she is 7, and I expect her to weigh between 55-60 lbs by then. Has anyone ever used one of these strollers for an older child?
She would only use it as she gets exhausted in parks or on way back to resort room from buses.
Our two year old might use it some, and I will babywear him also.
If this us a bad idea, can someone tell me about the City Mini?

We have a Chicco Echo. It has more head room than a standard umbrella, so their head isn't hitting the sunshade. High handles, basket, fully reclines, and folds like an umbrella. We bought ours when they were on sale at Target.

If you are planning on putting your 2 year old in it as well, I would not rely on an umbrella stroller. Many don't have enough of a sunshade (for either child, IMO) for long days in the park with the sun beating down. The City Mini, though, only has a 50 lb weight limit.

I would personally suggest renting a City Elite from one of the offsite vendors in WDW (if you don't want to buy one for yourselves). It's made by the same company as the City Mini. It has the same convenience as the City Mini in terms of the easy 1 hand fold, a fantastic sunshade, full recline, but it has a weight limit of 70 lbs and also has an option to have a rider board attached (which could work nicely for both the older child and the 2 y/o at different times. It would also give a non-walking option for both children in 1 stroller (1 child stands on the rider board, the other sits in the stroller), while still just having the width and such of a single stroller (instead of a double stroller).

We've used Kingdom Strollers (who does rent a City Elite), and we've had a great experience with them. SIL actually rented the City Elite for my nephews, which were 6 (almost 7) and (just turned) 3 at the time, and it was a perfect solution for them.

I just saw a 10-year old at HS today being pushed in one of these, so I wouldn't think it be a problem. Kudos for bringing something somewhat smaller then the triple-wide, double-deep RVS that have been running into me all week!

Are you used to wearing your 2yo for that long? My 18mo is small for her age, but I can't wear her for long stretches in the park. Even with a good carrier, it's tiring (and hot). I think getting something with a rider board is a great idea! We use a double stroller, but our older child is only 3.

Renting a City Mini GT would also be a good option -- goes up to 65. But I also think you might consider putting 2-year-old in a stroller with a rider board for the 7-year-old.

Have you tried carrying your younger child for that long? Little one is going to need a stroller, so bring something that is comfy for him/her. If older child needs somewhere to sit at some time, you can rent a double stroller for that day. We just did that for my very large 5 year old nephew in December when he got tired. Its pricey, but better than lugging two strollers on the off chance you need it. In the evening, you can wear the baby and have the older in the stroller to get to the busses.

I will look into the City Elite. I've never heard of it. It sounds perfect.
I won't be wearing the little one the whole time. Im not sure how hot it will get in March, and he's a big guy.
I wore my older child until nearly 3, but she has always been smaller.
