We are going to California for 4 days next month. We will be in San Diego for 2 days and Disneyland for 2 days (maybe a half day at California Adventure). My oldest DS is 4 (just turned) and a younger DS who will be turning 1. Obviously, I need a stroller for the younger DS, but do I need one for my older one? I hate to bring the double stroller because I probably won't need it in San Diego, but think that 2 strollers will be too much to handle. We used the double at WDW in December and both boys utilized it a lot. This will be our first time at DLR and we will probably be staying off site (but within walking distance).
Thanks!

I would definitely bring the double stroller. DLR is smaller than WDW, but still includes quite a bit of walking. Hotels on Harbour and also Disney hotels are still anywhere from 5-12 min. walk from the gate. Nobody wants to carry a sleeping little one that distance!! My DD3 insists on walking in the parks (albeit at a snail's pace, hehe) but when she tires out or falls asleep we put her into the stroller. Sometimes while walking in the parks it seems silly to push around an empty stroller, but when she falls asleep it all makes sense!!!!:)

We still bring a stroller for DS5. By the end of the night they are beat and you will grateful not to have to carry them back to the hotel. Plus that leaves more room to store all the things you will bring into the park.

Should I take the double or 2 singles?
Will I need a stroller for DS4 at the San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park?

You will need a stroller for either one of those parks, specially the wild animal park.

As far as which kind to take, we have by experience chosen the double one. Reason why is sometimes hubby goes and gets the food or gets a fastpass or whatever and that way I am not stuck with 2 strollers (or viceversa). Your kiddos are young enough that it shouldn't be so hard to stroll them around, ours are 4 & 7 and yes when going to Disney we still bring the double stroller :lmao:

I would bring a double, it's nice to be able to push them by yourself if you need to. If space is an issue, then I would bring 2 umbrella strollers, but I bet by the end of the day, the 4 y/o will be tired and not want to walk.

Thanks everyone! I have completely changed my mind--my original plan was to only take 1 single stroller. Now I'll just need to rent a bigger car.

Double stroller is so nice to carry stuff in. Nice for snacks, extra clothes, etc. At the end of the day just reorganize and load both kids in. Can't beat pushing them to the hotel instead of carrying them.
