I was wondering if anyone has a good stroller transport bag to put your stroller in to gate check at the airport? I wanted to get the Pliko Transport Sack for my P3 but no one has them in stock. They ship directly from Peg Perego, and they won't have them in until the end of November.

Does anyone have an information about the new Maclaren Stroller Bags that have wheels? I was wondering if I purchased one of those bags, if it would fit my Pliko P3?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!:wave2:

I doubt it - the Maclaren is much shorter than the Pliko when it's folded

you probably don't really need the wheels because you won't wheel it very far in the bag. We just used a regular duffle bag. it isn't an exact fit, but I'm sure the guys tossing it into the plane don't care. :)

Be aware that if you gate-check in a duffel, you may not get the stroller back at the gate, because it is not clear that the bag contains a stroller. It may be sent to the carousels when it is taken off the plane, unless you mark the bag to clearly show that it contains a stroller.

I use a sleeve instead of a bag, it just fits around the middle of the stroller, leaving the wheels and handles sticking out. I made these myself; they are just a rectangle of rip-stop nylon in a bright color, with elastic on two sides, and velcro on the other two. I just lay it out in the gate area, roll the folded stroller into it and fasten the velcro, then pull the folded stroller on its own wheels behind me down the jetway. I lock the brakes before leaving it for the baggage handler. It seemed silly to me not to use the wheels the stroller already had. (Oh, I did have to add a heavy vinyl strip on the "wheel" end of the Pliko sleeve; the fabric was getting too much wear at the point where the stroller was standing when folded. It stands on a hinge, and the edges are relatively sharp.)

BTW, I have both a Mac and a Pliko, and I have made sleeves for both; the folded size is totally different. The Pliko is shorter than the Mac, but much fatter around the middle. A bag made for one would never hold the other.

We have a Graco stroller and bag. The bag is great, but I can't help you on how it would fit your stroller - I'm not familiar with the size. I ordered it online a few years ago, I think from BRU.

the Pliko is shorter? That's interesting as I thought it was the same size as a Chicco and my Chicco is much longer and fatter than my maclaren. (My maclaren is very similiar to a volo so quite a small model)
