stroller to disney

is it convenient to take your own stroller to disney? we will be there from sept 7-sept 17 and i think it is too late to try for a stroller swap.

You're right about being too late for a stroller swap since this is already 9/4 and anyone who would be handing the stroller off to you would already be in WDW.

I'm going to move this over to the Families Forum so that the members there can offer hints on how to travel with a stroller or where to rent one.

I would just bring your own if you have one. If not, they sell one at the resorts, but it has a 35 lb weight limit. It's a basic umbrella stroller and is about $50. You can also rent from Orlando Stroller Rentals: http://www.orlandostrollerrentals.com/

We bring our own and just gate check it at the airport. My stroller is affectionately known as "the tank" but I'd still rather have my own.

I too plan to bring our own. I don't want to chase after him or hold him while at the airport.

I always brought my own. My son always fell asleep waiting for the bus at the end of the night. It was easier to have him in ths stroller than holding him until a bus came.

I took mine with us on the plane- I wrapped a HUGE orange (that was the largest and cheapeast stuff) ribbon around the handle, we went down for 10 days last time and when I figured the cost of renting I could have bought 2!! (not umbrella) so I would just take one--I NEVER left stuff in there that I cared about--I left the snacks,rain ponchos, stuff like that.
