Is stroller theft an issue at the parks? I have a pretty nice lightweight UppaBaby and would hate to lose it, but mostly I don't want to be stressed every time we have to walk away from it.

It happens, but not enough for me to worry about it - and I'm a worrier lol! If it worries you, you can always buy a cheaper stroller for the trip or bring a lock for it. You are not allowed to lock it to Disney property (CMs must be able to move them because they frequently move them from one location to another to keep paths clear) but you can lock the wheels together.

most thefts that I have seen happen are furry friends stealing snacks out of strollers. that said strollers are moved around by CMs to make more room for strollers so your stroller likely will not be where you left it in the stroller parking area. I would mark stroller with something but not a balloon as they are not allowed in AK to make stroller easier to find

We personally have never had an issue with stroller theft. We always just rented the twin parks stroller and parked it in designated stroller areas.

My sister-in-law however, did have her very nice personal stroller (with diaper bag attached) stolen a few years ago at MK. Never to be located. We like to think someone inadvertently "took it" mistakenly versus "upgrading" their stroller as one similar color stroller was left orphaned in the area. :confused3

I've read a few stories over the years of stroller theft, but they are few and far between.

We rented a City Mini Double from a rental company and pain $20 for insurance because I didnt want to chance it. Worked great! If you're worried enough about it getting ruined or stolen, I'd recommend looking into offsite rentals.

Anything can happen, but it's uncommon. I never worry about it. We leave all of our stuff, including souvenirs, and fortunately have never had a problem. The only things we never leave are our camera and my purse.

On our last trip we stupidly left a bag from the gift shop hanging off our stroller handlebar and it was stolen. Fortunately it was just some cheap princess jewelry that my dd had wanted and we just went and repurchased them for her. Definitely don't leave anything of value on the stroller!

Never happened to us, but we also try not to leave anything of much value in the strollers. I'm guessing that if you can tag it with your name or something like that, that would discourage people further from trying to take it.

We took our double stroller last year (a baby trend sit n stand stroller) that was an epic pain in the rump to navigate through crowds when 2-3 kids were riding. Any much loved stroller recommendationa fir a 2& 4 yr old? My 6 yr old also enjoys a standing ride from time to time.

We rented a double stroller last year and just to put our minds at ease we opted for the insurance. On top of that we never left anything of value in the stroller *just in case* A tip is that we would tie some colourful fabric to it, it would help us identify which stroller is ours when they all get pushed together.

It all comes down to how comfortable you are playing the odds. Odds are YOUR stroller won't get stolen. Are you comfortable just knowing that? There are crooks at WDW just like any place else. No one is watching to see what family owns which stroller, they are left out totally on the honor system.

You can lock 2 of the wheels together if you are worried. As long as you don't lock your stroller to something you are ok.

you can lock 2 wheels, back or front, but stroller must be able for CM to move. if not security can be called to cut lock which I have seen done

We had that stroller for our twins until we rented a city mini double on our last WDW trip. Bought one when we got back home. Expensive but worth every penny

Ours got taken once when it was mistaken for another ... an almost identical one was nearby. I was pretty upset, but eventually on our way out of the park we checked with guest services and ours had been turned in there. For subsequent trips I tied a colorful ribbon onto the handle so it would be less likely to be mistaken, and had no further issues.

we bought a "buggy guard" from Amazon. It's a little cute pig shaped lock that hangs on the stroller. I use it at Disney some of the time (loop it through a wheel).
Another tip I thought sounded funny but probably effective:
Put fake stains on a fabric diaper cloth (like cola or brown/mustard colored paint) and drape it on your stroller whenever you leave it.

If you are worried, pour some water into a diaper, wrap it up like it is used, and leave it on the seat. No one will want to steal your stroller

Ehh, that tip has been around for years. If you have a really nice stroller, a thief will think nothing about tossing a supposedly dirty diaper.

This was a concern for me the first time we took our stroller but now it doesn't cross my mind much. I got a used Mac Twin specifically for Disney trips (we only go every 2-3 years but seriously the stroller gets used for nothing else LOL), but from what I read, the issue with strollers like that is that people more often end up grabbing the wrong one since there are so many alike. So I just tried to mark ours well. We put some contrasting colored tape on the handles and zip-tied a laminated card with our last name and cell number on it on the bottom of the basket so that if it got mixed up OR we left it somewhere, we might have better luck tracking it down. We don't leave valuable things in the stroller though, as THOSE types of things have a better chance of getting picked up (we have left a blanket or something in the basket for some rides, and sometimes if we have some small souvenir bags we will leave them underneath of it, and while nothing has ever been stolen, those are the things I know would be all my own fault if they did).

I am more concerned with my stroller getting broken or something by the airlines than stolen.

I wouldn't worry too much about theft. In some instances, I have heard of a stroller accidentally being taken because there are many people with the same stroller there. If you bring it, I would add some mark/attachment/label that clearly shows your Uppababy is different from other families that may have the same stroller.
