I saw a post recently about ties or attachments that can be used to tie 2 single umbrella strollers together it make it serve as a double stroller. Does anyone know where I can buy these and how well they work?

I have seen these in the One Step Ahead catalog. I imagine they have a website although I do not know for sure.

I did a search online for "stroller connectors" to find them and order them.

I thought they worked very well. I have two different types of Graco strollers and the only problem I would run into when using them is when I would try to back up. The wheels on the front of both strollers are bigger than a cheap umbrella stroller so I would have to either straighten them out or just tilt the strollers back a bit when backing up. They were easy to attach/detach. Because I had different strollers, I wouldn't have been able to fold up the two without detaching.

We used them in October and will be using them again in a couple of weeks.

There is also the same question on the family board. Maybe some others will answer there.

I bought the connectors for our last trip to Disney in November. I didn't think they worked that well. It was really hard to turn and the front wheels of our umbrella strollers would lock together and you would have to go back and forth to get them to aline correctly so you could move. That said - they were easy to put on and they did allow me the ability to take both kids to attractions while my DH went on some rides. Don't count on using them all day - but they are ok for a short time. We are going back in May - staying at the BC and we have decided to rent the double strollers in the parks instead of wrestling ours on transportation.

A year or two ago I tested these out at Babies R Us and they worked very well with my friends and mine cheapy umbrella strollers, and 2 similiar weight kids. I didn't buy them at the time, as I had no real use for them (was shopping with a friend who did). But I will be getting these for this trip.

Just look in the stroller aisle at BRU and they have a little accesory shelf where these are.
