Stroller theft?

I am sure some are stolen, but I think that in most cases it is "mistaken identity" or "cannot find where CM moved it" since so many strollers are alike and the CM's move them for efficiency.

I would recommend finding a way to clearly mark which one is yours and just make sure you carry anything valuable with you. If you have a lot of anxiety then maybe you get the insurance, that's what we did.

We'e never had an issue - but our stroller isn't an expensive one. It's heavier than the norm and doesn't fold super well. (It does have great storage and sun shade though!) Our stroller was under $100 when bought 12 years ago - and it will come with us on our next trip too. Even though the odds of stroller theft are quite low, they're still there. I know I would worry about it a lot more if I had an expensive stroller.

finally figured out to handle the stroller issue when ours were young
it became a huge hassle taking one- dealing with on airplane, transporting to and from disney, etc.
we started buying an inexpensive umbrella one, using it while we were there and then simply leaving it so we wouldn't have to transport it home. $25-30 for the stroller, not having to worry about someone stealing a very expensive stroller, knowing it was unlikely that someone would even take it since it was not expensive and not having to taking it on the plane- gate checking and wasting time waiting on it- both ways, priceless.
if you can get away with not carrying the kitchen sink on the stroller, this works great.
also, to ensure no one bothers it, put what looks like a "dirty diaper" somewhere on it. no one will touch it

This is a zombie thread. You may be better off starting a new one instead of posting on one that is a 2 years old.

Its such a shame we have to worry about these things at Disney. What a great example these thieving parents are setting for their children. Fortunately, we have never had one stolen. I always take my bag off but we leave souvenirs and other things and haven't had anything taken either. It is weird when you come off a ride and the CMs have moved the strollers around though. I've panicked a couple of times thinking that it was taken. Despite the risk, we take our Baby Jogger as opposed to a cheap umbrella stroller. Easier to push (can push with 1 hand no problem), more storage, and more comfortable for DD.
