Stroller Swap Cancelled

well, just my luck.

I have been monitoring Craigs List and bidding on ebay for the past couple of months for a Maclaren umbrella stroller and TODAY (The day after a stroller swap is initiated), I WIN MY BID! It figures!

I placed my bid days before Jen's offer of the free one of course; the listing closed today on Easter Sunday so I think that's why there wasn't as much competition to bid up the price. Geez, I [almost] saved some money!

So the bottom line is that I don't need the stroller swap starting on 4/29! It's up for grabs by someone else!

well, I'm still waiting for the Maclaren to show up at my door! Or at least to get some feedback from the seller that I'm not being ripped off.

underwood - will you be checking email before you CHECK OUT of WDW? If so, I could post back here if I don't receive my ebay stroller and get reinstated for ASM on 4/29-5/6. Just not sure yet but know it would help out to have the stroller "occupied" for more time than sitting in storage. If you won't be checking email, please PM me with a reach # so I could call you or I can give you my # so you can call me when you're ready to leave.

of course, my 2nd motive in posting this trivial info which may or may not come to pass is... to keep THIS THREAD AT THE TOP!

As of now, plan on leaving it for Jlsals at the All Stars 4/29-5/6. She said she will send it to the next family even if she doesnt end up using it. While I am away (leaving in about 15 minutes) if someone else asks for an earlier date, you will have to arrange with them. Jlsals or heartbeeps will help. Just ask!

Hi everyone. I'm babysitting this thread (as well as the stroller) during sl_underwood's absence.

I will babysit the stroller starting 4/29 at All Stars MOVIES; I can hang onto it until 5/05.

I'm also compiling the list of requests in one place until sl_underwood returns and posts it back to post #1. I am acting as her agent while she's gone and am adding SmallWorld71 for Aug. 21st -29th at POP

I can add 2 strollers to the swap in November, beginning the Saturday before Thanksgiving. One is a Graco, our primary single stroller for a couple of years, and one is a basic umbrella just bought for this trip. I'll post pics closer to time if there is interest.

The Guidelines:
*) current stroller keeper must take stroller to next person's resort and put it in storage
*) current stroller keeper must tag the stroller with the name and resort and check in date of the incoming stroller requester (i.e., Minnie Mouse, All Stars Movies, check in 4/29/2008)
*) current stroller keeper must get a receipt for the storage of the stroller and provide the receipt info to the incoming stroller requester
*) current stroller keeper should post back to this thread when they've released the stroller and advise on the condition of the stroller (if there's a problem)


I will also babysit the stroller starting 5/01 at POR; I can hang onto it until 5/05 if nobody else signs up. (Babysitters are a good thing as it keeps the stroller out of storage and minimizes the risk of it being lost between stroller users.)

Hi everyone-

I'm Mandy and I have a 6 year old who I am sure will be needing to take breaks from walking, possibly an 8 yr. old too, who may need breaks.

We are visiting from April 26th through May 3rd if anyone could help us out that would be great, otherwise we may buy one of the $40 type strollers when we get there.. I am trying to find a way around the new rental fees..Aren't we all?

We may have to break down and rent though, we'll see. Thanks for any help!
