Stroller Suggestion for 4yo

My daughter is 4 and has mild cerebral palsy, so she can't do the whole walking thing at the parks. I know I could rent a stroller for her, but that would still mean a good bit of walking outside of the parks, so I really need to bring my own.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a stroller for her? She's only weighs about 30 pounds, but she is about 40 inches tall. I'm thinking that a lot of strollers may not accommodate that height? The special needs strollers are way more expensive than I can afford, given that we are unlikely to use it again. Anyone?

A great stroller would be a Maclaren Volo. It will support kids much heavier than 55 lbs (even though weight limit is 55 lbs - my dd 8 was in it last year and she is about 80 lbs). It has a nice high seat and pushes very easily.

I actually purchased another off ebay at $73 with shipping, so you can find them for good prices if you keep your eyes out. Rental at disney is $10 per day, so it's a good value and you can always easily sell it, especially since it won't have much use other than at disney.

I don't think you will regret the choice with the volo.

My kids were 4 and 6 our last trip (~42" and 46" and maybe 45 and 55#)
We bought two CHEAP $10.99 umbrella strollers from WalMart and it was the best $$ I've spent! The kids were way over the weight limit but we never had any issues with them at all. We used those strollers for 9 park days and they were easy to fold and carry on the buses and we weren't concerned about anyone stealing them.

We'd push the kids from the bus to Fantasyland, ditch the stroller while we did all the rides and then push them to Tomorrowland and do it all over again. We always knew exactly where the kids were when moving from place to place and they stayed much happier and didn't whine about being tired.

Maybe you could try one out at the store to be sure she's comfortable enough but chances are it would work for you- especially since she probably won't need it for napping, etc like a younger child.
