Just wanted to see how many little ones are stroller sleepers. My little one has never had the opportunity to sleep in a stroller, as he is never in one at nap time. So he'd be a first-timer in a stroller at the parks at his usual nap time. We do plan on taking a break from the parks, but it wouldn't be practical at all to do it at his usual nap time.

Thanks

Shel

My nephew naps whenever he gets tired in the stroller at WDW. We have never taken brakes from the parks, that's just us, once we get out and about we just can't leave. We bring the stroller from home. He is now 4 1/2 and will be walking most of the time but once he starts to get tired he will hop in the stroller and if he wants a nap, off he will go. I don't think you have to worry about it, if your little one is tired he will nap in the stroller. Have a great time. I am counting the days for our upcoming trip, leaving 11/25.

My son is 2 and has never been able to sleep in a stroller. If there is any sort of visual stimulation going on, he won't allow himself to sleep. Makes it hard.

Yes, mine was at WDW. For some reason though when just about town he won't fall asleep in his stroller but sometimes he'll fall asleep in his carseat but we're really lucky if he stays that way once we put him in the stroller. I don't know why he doesn't have a problem with it at WDW though. Maybe it's a combination of the time change (3hr difference from where we live) and the fact that when we're in the parks there's a lot of physical activity along with the extra sensory stimulation that just wears him out so he will just go, go, go until he just konks out in the middle of the day. We usually just go with the flow. When we tried to go back to our room a couple of times though - the nap went right out the window. Go figure.

Have a great trip!

My younger 2 both napped in the stroller (never attempted it with my oldest). With my middle DD, I was certain she'd never nap in a stroller, she always napped in her crib at the same time every day and I was adamant about keeping her to the same schedule in WDW. Yeah, right! Our first day there, she was wiped out an hour or so before her nap time and fell asleep in the stroller while DH was taking her back to the resort. Of course as soon as they returned to the room she was wide awake, wired and wasn't about to go to sleep.

After that, we just let her nap when and where she wanted...usually she fell asleep during 'down time' when there was no action...waiting for parades, shows, PSs. Other times we'd notice her getting sleepy and one of us would find a quiet shady spot and let her sleep there. Most of the time she'd catnap, once in a while she'd sleep for longer stretches. We let her do her thing and it worked out great for all of us since we normally don't like to leave the parks until dinnertime.

With my youngest, we didn't even attempt to go back to the resort for a nap and that worked out well for her too. I guess it really depends on the child, but even though my kids were always on a routine at home it just seemed to fly out the window on vacation. I can't imagine any of them napping on schedule at WDW. Plenty of kids do, but it just worked much better for us to play it by ear. And I am happy to say that in 5 family trips, we have NEVER had a meltdown or tantrum at WDW! Oh, wow, I hope I didn't just jinx myself!

My kids are in their 20's but I told my Dsis last trip that I was going to start taking pics of all the stroller sleepers and post them. I think they are so funny or cute.

My kids (3 and 5) would rather drop in their tracks than sleep in a stroller. I am always envious of the "stroller sleepers" and their moms. Lucky!

We took DS when he was 13 mos. He had always been a regular napper...first child, I built my schedule around naps and mealtimes :) When we went to Disney, I had planned on returning to the hotel for naptime, but he usually crashed in the stroller before then. One day he slept for about an hour, but most other days it was less. It was less than what he would sleep in his crib...almost two hours...but he seemed okay and wasn't cranky. He did get sick when we got home though :guilty:

DD was never a big napper after age two. However, she does catnap in the car, and yes, in the stroller at Disney. Sometimes my neck hurts just looking at her.
