Hey all - about 5 years ago I did a Photo pass share. I thought I saw at that time that people did stroller shares. We just left for FL and realized our movers (Yay for military packers) broke our stroller. I was only saving it for this trip. I check Craigslist and they are selling for new prices. Crazy.

We will be at WDW from September 27- October 6th. Is there anyone arriving around the 6th willing to split a stroller with me. I can leave it at your resort for you.

Stroller shares/swaps died about 5 years ago when the moderators decided to enforce a long-standing rule about using the boards for money to change hands between members. They said that the swaps could continue if they were free to anyone participating, but no one was willing to donate strollers or the repair items. There were too many reports of bell services losing the strollers or people not passing on the the stroller to the next person.

I believe that there are rental companies in Orlando that are permitted to deliver rental strollers to Disney resorts. You might want to ask about them on the Families board. Their prices are cheaper than renting in the parks and you have the stroller available for you use in your resort as well as the parks.

Thanks @marrionette

Well I tried to delete this thread based on Marionettes response. Can't figure out how. Lol. Sorry moderators!

I wouldn't worry about deleting. It opens up discussions about other options. When my son was little Disney strollers weren't very expensive. Now they are. I have heard stroller rental companies are the way to go. Good luck!

We are there so long the cost of renting is more than buying one. Guess I'll buy one and sell it at home. Thanks

I'm not sure how old your kids are, but are you sure you will need one? We stopped using them when my youngest was 4, although we did rent one for our Epcot day. Since you are there for a long time, you might be able to slow to your kid(s)' pace or maybe just rent for your longer park days. Just a thought - every family is different. :)

Would it be appropriate to arrange to give a stroller to someone on my departure day?we won't need to bring it home. We just want an umbrella stroller for the week and intend on having Walmart deliver one to our resort.

we went to a second hand shop in Orlando and bought one to use- it was about 15-20.00 and then I talked to people at the resort pool who had a child and offered it to them for the rest of their trip- no clue what they did with it but really didn't care.

It would probably be easier for you to offer the stroller to someone you see in the lobby at the end of your trip like aprilgail did. Do yoou really want to spend time on your last day of vacation meeting up with someone or transporting a stroller to bell services at their resort? The end result is the same: someone who could make use of the stroller gets one for free.

When we went with my niece a few years back, we thought she'd be too old for a stroller. It became obvious right away that we'd need one. We bought one at the shop a the International gate entrance to Epcot for about $50. It was a saver of our sanity.
