Stroller rentals on Fantasy

I have heard that there are strollers to rent on Fantasy. Are they for on-board use only or can we take them into the ports? Are they umbrella style or a full stroller? How much do they cost? Are they readily available or are they often sold out? Do you prereserve?

Any info will help!

They are loaners, not for rent. A $200 charge is applied to your KTTW account and removed when the stroller is returned. They are full sized, regular strollers (not umbrella). You can take them anywhere you wish. You can borrow for one day or an entire cruise.

On the Magic I had occasion to be in a "behind the scenes" room--there were probably over 100 strollers in a storage area!

Honestly, I wouldn't try to use these on the ship--they are too big. Bring a small umbrella stroller for daily use; borrow a big one for excursions if you need it.

Just to add to what the previous post says… the strollers are awesome! They are actually the ones we have at home (Peg Perego). They are certainly bigger than an umbrella stroller, but we honestly had no trouble at all with their size; and we had TWO of them (parents of twins). We used them all over the ship. The only downside when you are using a stroller on the ship is that you have to take the elevator, which sometimes you have to wait for, but that was really the only problem.

Ohhh… and on the Fantasy, and I assume Dream, there is no way to cross from one side of the ship to the other except through mid-ship if you are back by Nemo’s reef.

Don't know for sure, but I'd say no. The passagways aren't wide enough for them. And they would probably fill up an elevator.

that's a good point...fair enough. We're not even sure we want one, period, but vacation is when we would, probably, so I'm wondering if we should just plan to rent one when we need it rather than investing in one (DS really dislikes strollers, and DD is still "in progress", so we don't have a lot of experience )

They do not have double strollers... we checked. Although as pointed out above; I do not think you would want one even if they had them.
