Stroller Rental for Double Umbrella stroller??

Does anyone know a company that rents double umbrella strollers? I've seen the various places advertised that rent the Baby Jogger city minis and they're cute and look comfy, but not very practical for taking on a bus. We own a BOB Revolution Duallie (way too big to take on a bus, but otherwise AWESOME) and a Joovy Sit & Stand (but we'd like a seat for the toddler for naps), and we don't really NEED to buy a new stroller, but I'll need to if I can't think of another solution because I can certainly find one cheaper on craigslist than renting doubles at WDW. :) I'd love to just rent a double umbrella stroller (like a Maclaren or Chicco or something), rather than buy one we don't really need, but haven't found any companies with them. Anyone know? Thanks!

Have you checked the budget board for a stroller swap one of them is mac twin. What about the mini worries the size isn't comparable to to a bob and I liked having my mini on the buses verses my techno. I have a pic of them folded side by side they are only singles but you can get an idea of the what they look like folded.

I tried the budget board swap for the maclaren, but it's full when I need it. Otherwise I'd so be in for that!

Maybe I need to see the actual dimensions for the city mini - on their online video of it folding, it looks like the bob just without the huge bob wheels, but I haven't checked if that's accurate.

Ask around - I have a friend that borrowed one from someone and then another friend bought hers on Craigslist for $25 and then just resold it for $30!

I actually sold all of our big Graco double, single, pack n play, high chair and all that and bought a double umbrella at Toys R Us. They have a Jeep one that is $80 but I only paid $65 after a coupon and $5 gift card I had left from some promotion there.

I figure I'll probably get some use out of it over the next year or two and then can sell it.

Good luck finding one!

That's awesome, thank you! I need to show my husband tonight. I keep checking craigslist, and I know we have plenty of time, I just like to be planned ahead of time. ;)

Your welcome, to me real life pics help so much more than just seeing stock photos. I can take some better pics of it folded I don't have the techno anymore but I did recently purchase a baby planet solo endangered species that I can snap a couple of pics next to it. the fold is pretty flat and its so quick that I didn't have to take Lily out until the bus pulled up.

Wow! That city mini folds super flat! Now I'm really excited about renting it! DH made the call when he saw the video and how easy it was to fold.

We are renting from Magic Strollers. They are the same price as Orlando Stroller Rentals but also include the rain cover and parent organizer.

Here's an easy solution: Look for a double umbrella stroller on Orlando Craigslist & have someone meet you.

That's what we did, and the person came to the airport & we met them there. We took the stroller home & it's in the garage now for next year :)

I can put you on the back up list for my swap. :goodvibes

Are your dates the end of January?

Also if you decide to go with the City Mini Double you can get one at magicstrollers.com
We are getting one for a whole week 7 nights for only $67 :)

That would be awesome to put me as back up just in case. :) We're going Jan 18-25. Otherwise, I think I may have convinced DH that it's a good idea to buy one - I'm sure we'll use it again! :cool1:

And good idea to check the Orlando Craigslist - I wouldn't have thought of that!

Is that a special they're offering or something? :confused3 The website said $25 for the first night and $9 each additional night.

Thanks!

DOes anyone have a pic of the Magic Stroller rental double? I've seen the website pics, but wondered what condition they're in.

TIA!:wizard:

I'm interested, too. The company is pretty new (like a few months old, I think??), so I imagine the strollers are in pretty good shape.

Our concern - with H1N1 going around and all - is the cleanliness of the stroller. Magic Strollers specifically mentions that they clean and disinfect their strollers, so that makes me feel a little better. I'd still like to know a good way we can clean/disinfect it ourselves, too.

We actually just got back from WDW last week and had rented a single citi mini for the stay from Magic Strollers. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Susan was fabulous in setting everything up. Stroller was waiting in our room when we arrived. It was in brand-new condition and even smelled new! We got the parent organizer with ours to keep a cup, sunglasses, etc in. We did not get the rain cover and I wish we had!! We all had ponchos on, but our stroller was soaked and unusable for awhile until it dried out! The stroller is a breeze to use and fold down. We left our DS3 sleeping in it until the bus literally pulled up, then got him out, folded with one hand, and off we went. We did use a stroller lock the whole time in WDW b/c DH was paranoid it would get stolen. A lock at Walmart is less than $10, whereas theft insurance was like, $25. I'm happy to answer any questions about Magic Strollers that you may have.......will definitely use them again! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the review! I assume you pay extra for the organizer and rain cover?

Just returned and rented a city jogger from Orlandostrollerrentals.com - excellent customer service - they dropped off and picked up right to the resort - stroller was in excellent condition and very clean - loved the way this stroller maneuvered and there was tons of storage:thumbsup2
They also rent the doubles.

Magic Strollers includes the rain cover and parent organizer with the rental - you must request them.
