I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I don't have time to search through the posts from page 3 on. I don't want to bring our stroller with us for various reasons. I'm considering buying a good one that easily collapses for the trip. Can anyone recommend a good one? My DD is 3 1/2, but weighs only 26 pounds. I want her to be comfortable, as well. She is our only child. Thanks in advance for any help!

We purchased a Chicco C5 in 2006 for our DS who was 9 months at the time. It is light (11 lbs) folds like an umbreall stroller, reclines has an OK sized basket and a nice big roof. I don't know how tall you are, but the handles are nice and high. It is easy to steer. It takes a moment to figure out how to fold it, but once you know it is a one hand yank and it is down.

We have used and abused this stroller since we got it and it is in great condition. We since have added another child to the mix so my Chicco will sit until DS#3 is old enough to walk by himself and behave.

I got it at babies r us for about $90.

We really like our Mac Volo's that we have had for a few months. I got them because of the reccomendations on here. They fold up pretty small, are lightweight, and are comfortable for both my kids (ds is 4.5 and about 35 lbs, dd is 21 months and 27 lbs). We actually only bought one at first (figured we would take an older umbrella stroller and the mac with us), but after I saw how nice they worked for both kids, we went ahead and got another. They have a good size sunshade, and small basket. The seat seems pretty wide for a compact stroller, and it pushes very easily. I wish it had a parent tray/popholder but there are ones you can buy to attach to the macs if you wish....

We bought an Inglesina Swift for our trip this past January and it worked out great. I reclines more than most lightweight strollers so DD was able to nap comfortably (My second choice was a Mac but there was no recline), it collapses easily and is really light weight. We bought it online from Babies R Us,

We really like our Maclaren, I think it's a Quest...maybe a Triumph. Anyway, we love the fact that it reclines, folds up easy and tight like an umbrella stroller and most important, we don't kick the wheels when we push it. Oh yeah, the handles are nice and tall so no slouching and achy backs. The downsides are the small storage area under the seat, but I don't carry a lot of stuff with me so it has never been an issue. Hope you find what you are looking for!

We have a Joovy Groove and LOVE it! My son is 23lbs and fits in it comfortably with room to spare. I believe the weight limit is 55lbs. The best feature ever is the one button recline. You can check them out at Joovy.com.

I'll second the vote for this one. We love ours. Two important features that were not mentioned:

1. It's taller than your basic umbrella stroller. This means that someone who's taller than 5'5" can push it without being "hunched over".
2. It has a nice carry strap when it's folded so it can be slung over a shoulder.
3. It's lighter than any other "upscale" umbrella that I've seen.

Note that some people seem to really dislike this stroller because of item number 3. They cannot stand the fact that the stroller is tippy, I.E. if you have something hanging off the back and your child gets out it will tip backwards.

Personally I do not find this to be an issue, for me the trade of of having a stroller that weighs 8lbs instead of 12lbs is well worth the occasional tip, and those tips are easily avoided once you know to expect them. In all actuality I can't imagine that the 12lb models are significantly less tippy considering the leverage achieved by putting weight at the end of a long handle. Perhaps it's that the larger basket in such a model allows putting more weight at the center of gravity.
