We'll be bringing DS to MK and I want to bring a stroller - any recommendations on what to buy?

Something lightweight and compactly folding for the buses, and a good recline for napping. What stroller do you have for him now? Or is this your first major stroller purchase? And how much do you want to spend?

If this is your first major stroller, I really like my Peg Perego Pliko P3 (I have an older model). It has lasted through multiple children. I describe it as an umbrella stroller on steroids. It has been great from newborn to toddlerhood. I never felt like I needed a different stroller for toddlerhood. It has a recline suitable for newborns, decent basket, folds compactly and is relatively lightweight. I also like the 5 point harness which allows for some movement (leaning forward). (And I think that I saw some 2007 models on sale at albeebaby.com.)

Enjoy!

this is first purchase. I have an umbrella stroller but I wasn't sure if it was too old for him.

It depends on the recline. Usually, the box will say "suitable from 6 months" or something like that. What kind of umbrella stroller? Some don't recline at all (which I wouldn't take to WDW for a 7 month old), and some have almost full recline.

I'll have to check - my parents gave it to me from when my neice used it.

Any other suggestions on an inexpensive stroller with good sun cover?

I have a Maclaren Quest for my DD8mos. I bought it before she was born and she started using it at about 5 mos. I love it. It is lightweight and easy to push. We went to Disney when she was 3 1/2 mos and she wasnt old enough for it and we had to take the monster convertible one. I would have rather been able to take the Mac, but she just wasnt big enough for it yet. It has a few recline positions, but doesnt recline completely.

Another huge fan of the Peg Perego Pliko P3. It is a GREAT stroller. :thumbsup2 Large sunshade, full recline, great harness system, folds-up quickly and compactly, and is light and easy to push. You can get a 2007 model on albeebaby for 1/2 off the usual price!! :yay:

Definately recommend a Pliko 2001+

I recently purchased a 2001 Plikomatic for $35 on craigslist and it's wonderful. It's essentially the same as the new plikos without all the bulk! I prefer it, too. It is a lot more nimble and doesn't feel so plasticy.

We're planning on buying a stroller from Craigslist just to use for travel. Our daughter will be just shy of 8 mos when we go in Aug. I heard some stories of strollers getting damaged on the plane, so if we can find one in good condition for $20 or less, then we'll get it. The cheapest we can find new is $49 at Wal-mart and I don't think I want to pay that much. We basically want the ones that normally come with the carseat. We have a Graco one and love it because the seat reclines for naps, has a nice shaded cover, has a tray, and cup holders. Can't imagine traveling with less!

DH and I just went through this same process. Our DD will be just about 9 months when we go in October. After getting advice here and going to BRU to try them out, we decided on the Peg Perego Pliko P3. It has the most recline for younger babies who will likely need to nap during the day. We haven't had a chance to use it yet, but from what we've heard here and read on other sites, it's going to be great! Also, we ran into someone this weekend who had one and she said her 10 month old DD loves it and so does she.

We got ours on albeebaby.com for $180. It's a 2007 model, and the only difference I could see between that and the 2008 is the sunshade/window on top of the canopy. I don't think the 2008 had one and the one on the 2007 is quite large. I'm just hoping it doesn't allow too much sun through. If it does, we'll just bring some clothes pins and pin a small white blanket over it.
