Last year I bought a moderately priced rain cover for my P3 at Babiesrus. It was great for my trip becasue it did a great job covering the entire stroller during sudden showers. The only problem....it is a hard stiff plastic and now is huge when I try to fold it up and is too bulky in the basket. does anyone use a rain cover that has some flexibility so it will fold to a reasonable size?

My cover is from BRU and was relatively inexpensive, around $15. for a Graco cover that fits any carseat. Is this your model? It came with a black drawstring bag to store it in. It's a little unwieldy to fold, but I lay it out on a table and make everything as flat at possible, fold in sections, then store it in the bag. There's extra room in there so our ponchos fit in too. It all fits easily in the bottom of the P3 (even with our small cooler in there). We just grab the bag on our way out the room when the weather report is iffy.

Because that rain cover works SO WELL in a big downpour, I wouldn't want to use anything else ever again. I even took it on a trip to Niagra Falls last week---we went on the boat tour into the falls and I'm so glad I had it for the stroller...the baby just sat there, happy and wonderfully dry.

We had the same problem with the stroller cover that came with our stroller. Even though we don't use this particular stroller when we travel (we have a smaller travel stroller), the cover fit over the travel stroller and we've always brought it to WDW with us. But, because the cover is just too unwieldy now, we're bringing a Neat Sheet this year. It's a large blue waterproof cover that is weighted on the ends. You can use it for just about anything (ground cover, car seat cover, beach cover etc.). We've used it in the past at local amusement parks and it's been just as effective as our stroller cover. We just drape it over the stroller if it rains. You can even throw it in the wash if it gets dirty. BRU and TRU sell it.

Not sure what your rain cover is like, but could you leave it on the stroller instead of trying to store it in the basket? We just got back from 12 days of rain and left our rain covers on our volos the entire time. When (rarely :sad2:) not in use, we just flipped them up onto the hood/sunshade. The strollers could also easily be folded with the covers flipped up for getting onto the busses. It was much easier than taking them on and off and folding them up and carrying them in an extra bag.
