Stroller Question

I have an 8 yr old ds with developemental delays, just started walking on his own a couple of years ago, still quite unsteady at times on his feet and gets tired walking after a bit. Because he has hit a growth spurt this past summer I've just ordered a new special needs stroller for him, mainly for use on all day outings such as the zoo, museums and of course Disney. I also have a 4 yr old dd who I also still use a stroller with for such things. For the past 4 years we have always had a double stroller to use for them, the last one we purchased was a sit and stand but it's a beast to push with my ds in it, thus the need for his new stroller. My problem is now, do I bring 2 strollers for our upcoming trip, which is something my dh defiantely does not want to do or do I let them switch off riding in my ds's stroller? When we went 2 years ago my other ds was 4 and he walked almost the entire trip, rarely sat in the stroller, but he is ADHD and has problems sitting still in general. My dd is a different story, I know she will get tired and want to sit and I don't think I want to deal with them fighting over the stroller. I thought about just renting a stroller in the parks but I think on the way out of the parks to the car (we don't do the buses) is when my ds would need the stroller the most. Has anyone had this kind of conflict, my dh is really against bringing 2 strollers for the sake of space in our SUV but I think it's probably going to be the smarted choice to bring 2. TIA!

I would bite the bullet and bring 2. We had to do that one year. We would park the "extra" stroller when we did not need it. ( example would be like when in fantasy land, we would park the stroller, do the rides in that area, and then put the child back inside it and go over to a different area).

The biggest drawback with two strollers is so cumberson when on the buses or parking lot trams. I can see why your husband wants only one stroller but I think with a 4yr old and spending the day at a park you will need a stroller for each.

would one of these work for your 4yr old

That is really cool, I've never seen that before. Not sure if it would work on an umbrella stroller (we got my ds the Maclaren Metro) but it may be worth looking into.

I was just talking my situation over with my mil who's coming along with us and she said maybe we should just rent a single stroller for my dd and if my ds6 wanted to sit for awhile they could take turns.
