LAST DECEMBER WE TOOK OUT 3 & 6 YEAR OLD GRANDCHILDREN TO WDW WORLD FOR 8 DAYS AND HAD A BLAST. WE DID NOT TAKE THEIR PARENTS AS THEY BEHAVE MUCH BETTER WITHOUT THEM. (OH WELL THATS ANOTHER STORY) BACK TO THE REASON I AM WRITTING THIS...THE MOST ENJOYABLE THING WE LEARNED ON THIS TRIP WAS HOW NICE IT WAS TO HAVE A STROLLER WITH US. MY BACK NEVER HURT AND I SEEMED TO BE ALOT LESS TIRED PUSHING IT. IT WAS A GODSEND FOR PACKAGES,CLOTHES AND COATS.
WE ARE NOT TAKING THE KIDS THIS TRIP BUT...THINKING ABOUT TAKING THE STROLLER...WHAT DO YOU THINK? AM I NUTS? MY DH SAYS HE WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT ON THE BUS AGAIN..BUT MAY PURCHASE A CHEAP SMALLER ONE THAT IS ACTUALLY LIKE THE OLD UMBRELLA ONE. ANY OPINION? :rolleyes1

Hey, to each's own ... do whatever makes you both happy. :goodvibes

If you get an umbrella stroller, just make sure the handles are as tall as the stroller you used before. A lot of times they can be smaller, and having to slightly lean over to wheel it might feel worse on your back.

P.S. On a friendly note ... typing in ALL CAPITALS is considered SHOUTING in online affairs. It is also much more difficult to read than "normal" forms of typing.

If it works for you, do it. But I think Eric is right that you need to watch the height of the stroller handles. Too short and your back will ache terribly.

I don't think you'll need it. In October you probably won't really need jackets and since you're staying at Pop, you can have any packages sent back to your resort, and you won't have to carry them. You've been to WDW recently and won't feel the need to try to rush and see "everything" (like that's possible!) so take it easy and go stroller-less and even bag-less!

I think your better option is to pack a small back-pack with only necessities. Don't take items you "might" need. You can buy (for a price) pretty much anything you need at the parks. Don't bother with jackets. If it is cool when you leave in the mornings, it will be warm by the time your bus gets to the park. (If you are having unseasonably cool weather, rent a locker to store your jackets once you don't need them anymore.) Have your packages sent to your resort or the front of the park. We normally go in mid-October and it can be crowded. It is sometimes a pain to get the stroller through the crowds.

I have never found an umbrella stroller that wasn't awkward to push. But, if you do find one and decide this is your best option, go for it. Who cares if you get funny looks!

The one thing we miseed at this year's wdw trip was that stroller!! It held our drinks and all of our stuff and our child when needed---I think we need to make a universal decision that strollers are always acceptable---w/ or w/o kids and regardless of the child's age---I also think there shoul dbe a universal decision that the colors blue and black can eb worn together---hee! Why not?!

I say DO IT!

Take one!!! I soooo miss having a stroller at the mall to hold my purse, packages, drinks, oh yeah, the kids too!

My stroller will probably serve more as a shopping cart then a kid transporter. So i say Go for it. No one will know that another family member hasnt taken the kid to the bathroom or something just make sure you take a bike chain along to secure it somewhere before entering a ride. And dont leave anything valuble on it unattended!
