We are leaving in 6 days and taking our 9 month old baby for his first time. We have a large Evenflo stroller (the kind that the car seat / carrier will snap into). Is it too big? I know I read somewhere a couple of months ago that Disney has restrictions on the size of the stroller allowed in the park and it gave dimensions, but now I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know the restrictions or has anyone taken a stroller this size with no problems? Thanks in advance for any help!! :goodvibes

I have never heard anything about size restrictions. I do think they don't allow 3 wheel jogger types (but not sure about that!) but as long as it is a real stroller you will be fine. Families with triplets can take their strollers, lots of people take double strollers so what you have will be much smaller than lots of others. Believe me, there is no CM standing at the gate measuring your stroller.

Have fun!

No, take the even flo... The rentals you will be able to get are geeared more for 1 yo or older.

at 9 months, the baby can't sit up all day in an new stroller, they need the comfort and fit of a quality stroller.

We had the venflo, and no, it's not too big as long as you know how to quickly collapse it while some one else holds the aby.

Thanks so much!! I remember when I read about the size restrictions that I thought it was odd because I knew the double strollers at Disney would be bigger than mine, but just thought I'd ask and get some opinions. I have no clue where I even read that now and it must have not been right anyway. And I agree - I can't imagine the rental stollers would be comfortable for an infant and that was why I really wanted to bring my own. Thanks for the replies!!

We just got back and saw many strollers that were larger than a wheelchair (it's hard for me to imagine carting around something that big for a baby so little, but that's what we saw).
The types of strollers they were not letting in for a while were the jogging strollers that have 3 tires, with a large, non-swiveling tire on the front.

In May our DS was 18 months old and I wouldn't have wanted to put him in one of those hard plastic strollers they have.

We took our Evenflo "suv" :lmao: stroller and it was perfect. It was nice to be able to recline him if he fell asleep etc. (slept through dinner at CP one night) Many buildings 'say' you can't take a stroller in, but if baby is sleeping, ask - they may say yes.

I loved all the storage space. We didn't have to take a big diaper bag because we could stash diapers and wipes in the various pockets etc. Just a small bag to take our valuables with us when we went into buildings.

It was a bit tricky getting on/off the shuttles and train, but workable. We had a car, so we drove to most of the parks to avoid dealing with the stroller on the bus.

I then made a sling for DS out of Mickey Mouse fabric. Was really cute and made it a lot eaiser to hold him in lines and in the buildings at EPCOT where we couldn't take the stroller in.

Thanks Robin!! Our stroller looks a lot like yours. I like all the storage space too! I am planning on bringing a big diaper bag and then a small one too and then see if we can get by with just the small one in the parks - may only take the big one when we take our large camera so we can put it in there too instead of bringing a diaper bag AND a camera bag. We even bought one of those extra nets to hang on the stroller for more space. Glad to hear that our stroller won't be a problem! Thanks again everyone!! And hope to see some fellow DISers this time!!!

One additional thought - if your stroller has snap on pockets anywhere (like mine has on the sides) remove them before checking it at the gate!!! I actually packed the pockets, which I did want to have to use at the parks, in my suitcase so they wouldn't get lost.

So Disney does not allow 3-wheel strollers in the parks??? Eeks, this sets me back. Can anyone suggest a good double stroller they have used at the parks? I am most concerned about it being comfortable for our little one (he will be 6 mos next trip). For this reason, I would like for the stroller to have seperate reclining seats. Thanks so much for any help!

There were quite a few of them that we saw, but in the past for a while (a couple of years ago) they were keeping them in the stroller rental area and offering a rental stroller in its place. If your has swivel wheels (even if it is one big front swivel wheel), you will probably not have a problem. The thing we noticed was that people with the jogging strollers with the large front wheel looked like they had some difficulty manouvering in shops and when it was crowded because the wheel stuck out so far in front and also, turning with them.

I took my double stoller last time we went. My boys actually ended up liking the rental stollers better. I just brought a couple of blankets with us and rolled it up on the side when they wanted to sleep. The rentals actually worked out better because we didn't have to fight with getting them in and out of the buses.
